  1. Makes sense. And my only guesses were my car is broken and Photoshop....
  2. Morcelu, on the last 2 pictures. What do u do to have that red exterior rim lof the tailight light up like that. I don't think mine does that (hybrid SE)
  3. I'm pretty sure it is rail all the way. I can't get to it now but did it in Dec, when "following" my car. You have to look at the Mexican rail company (forget the name now) for the Hermosillo-Nogales bit. And, for us at least in Seattle, I think it all ends with BNSF.
  4. I've seen 2 others, both a while back. Hybrids at least (I followed a little closer as I waited mine) seem to be selling very fast around here. So I'd expect to start seeing more in the wild soon.
  5. Ruby red is definitely the way to go! If I were ordering now - titanium or not - I would probably get adaptive cruise. Before driver assist. AC + Eco cruise sounds a bit like "let the computer hypermile for you". Could come handy in some occasions.
  6. Thanks. Watched the videos. I think you're on to something.I can imagine why they might have resorted to the banana-bars to accomodate all the design elements. But for the moment at least, it seems to have compromised the ability to produce tight fits in mass production.
  7. Congrats Jeff! Looking forward to seeing the shiny pictures. Mine is already starting to get dirty - it rains a bit in Seattle, you know... Fwiw, mine too has a less than perfect trunk fit. Not biggie for me either. But if you remember and can point me to that other thread, let me know. Just curious.
  8. I took delivery of my '13 Fusion Hybrid SE today. 12 weeks since I placed the order. Though the last 1.5-2 weeks were due to my holiday traveling. So, all in all, I think I did fine on that department. Only drove the car from dealer to my place, so far. 12-13 miles. Some quick impressions: - overall, liking it a lot. - it feels more upscale and looks prettier than I expected (I used to own an '11 FFH and test drove a '13 FFH almost identical, save color and wheels, to my order) - for those 12-13 miles, I did 39.5 mpg. Up to the last mile, it was 45.1 mpg, but my last mile to get home has > 300 ft of elevation and has long been an mpg killer. Certainly too early to tell for sure, but it looks promising for me to be able to see the lifetime mpg in the low 40s range, which is what I expected when I placed the order. - tons of features and gizmos it will take me some time to dig into. Even compared to my '11 Fusion Hybrid. I am sure I will look for some help on this forum (and probably the fusion hybrid forum, which I still need to sign up for) ! That's it for now. Great way to start the new year! Below a few (hastily taken) pictures. http://www.flickr.com/photos/91832337@N02/sets/72157632425817807/ EDIT - I'm new to Flickr and must be doing something wrong For some reason the original link shows a black rectangle on my iPad. Here's a link to one of the pictures (and, from there, you can see the others if interested) http://www.flickr.com/photos/91832337@N02/8344725650/
  9. Cyberdman, I took delivery of my car today. 12 weeks since I placed the order. Though the last 1.5-2 weeks were due to my holiday traveling. So far, loving it! I once again would like to thank you for your help. It really helped keep the anxiety a bit under control. As for the pictures, here is one... http://www.flickr.com/photos/91832337@N02/8344725650/ And, if you're really into it, a whole bunch.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/91832337@N02/sets/72157632425817807/ Many thanks. Again. Salva
  10. I have 18" Luxury wheels on mine and should be picking it up later today (saw it today at the dealer and it looked fabulous, better than I remembered the one I test drove). So that shouldn't be it. Mine was built 12/5. If I remember correctly (I was tracking more closely a few on the forum similar to mine) yours was built about the same time, right?
  11. Hi cyberdman, Can I have this week's update? Hopefully this is still reasonably within the rules. Just trying to get the update before some holiday travel. In any case, thanks again for all your help so far and... Happy Holidays! Salva VIN 3FA6P0LU8DR193062
  12. Not quite as lucky but, given the circumstances and what othe people are experienced, pretty happy with how it is working out for me (fingers crossed, I hope it all ends as planned). You can see the dates in my signature but, if all goes as currently scheduled, it will be a total of 11 weeks from order to ETA. The catch in my case, though, is that I will be out of town when the car makes to the dealer. So I arranged delivery with the dealer tentatively for 1/2/2013. Or 1/3/2013, if I am delayed or feel too jet lagged on my return. 12 long weeks from order. But I see as a slightly delayed Xmas present...
  13. Absolutely. Not only on this hybrid. But on any hybrid. I didn't keep detailed records but there was a 15 mile run I did over the summer to take my kid to a practice, with my '11 FFH. When it was first thing in the morning (even in the summer), it was in the 31-33 mpg range for the round trip. Same trip 2 hours later to pick him up (engine still a bit warm), 42-43 mpg. Several times, consistently. That was on "city" (more like mostly semi-rural roads, 45 mph max), with about 500ft of elevation gain for the round trip (it's a bit hilly around here).
  14. May I have an update, please ? VIN 3FA6P0LU8DR193062 Thanks in advance, Salva
  15. It could be user selectable. In fact, the Camry Hybrid (and perhaps other Toyota Hybrids) does modulate throttle response differently if the user selects "Eco mode". I only tried it briefly on a test drive and didn't like it, in general. But I could see that I might use it occasionally (and no, not when merging with highway traffic).
  16. Thanks. Let's see if I can extract anything as entertaining from my dealer. It's fascinating (to me at least) to see the path your car takes from the factory. Mine probably will take a detour from your path in Arizona - towards the West Coast (Seattle). From your dates, you seem to be one of the (few?) early orders that escaped the sequestration in Hermosillo. Lucky you!

    FordEtis

Etis uses DD.MM.YYYY for date format (it's meant for worldwide use, apparently). So its and cyberdman's dates agree and are probably accurate (other people have reported difference of a few days between the 2). As said otherwise in the thread (I think, or in other threads), it takes a few days after build for Etis to reflect info relevant to your vehicle
  18. For hyrbids it's currently $500 and I will be happy with that too. But if Ford wants to reward my loyalty with extra $750 (or even $750 total, instead of $500), why not? It could be. I will ask the dealer at the proper time. Currently, I'd be happy if they could give me finer grain tracking of the order - since it's been built. I think it is a bit ridiculous that for a lot of people - myself included - cyberdman provides the best tracking. I mean, I am grateful he's willing to do that - and it shows, not surprisingly, that Ford has some top notch and caring employees. But it shouldn't be necessary.
  19. I was told multiple times by multiple dealers that would be the case. Including vehicles ordered with X-Plan. I was told I would be eligible for whatever public incentives are available at time of delivery. Some people in other threads said they negotiated to be the best of what was available at time it was ordered vs. delivered. The current $500 on hybrids expires 01/02/2013. The expectation - though not guarantee - is that it will be renewed (or even increased) next quarter. We'll see when I get the car (which could be after 1/2/2013)
  20. I see in other threads you got your '13 Fusion Hybrid. Congrats!. Waiting on the promised pictures. Have you been able to apply your coupon to your X-Plan price? I didn't get one with the printed brochure, but I have (both for up to $750): - one that my wife got on email. That one, unfortunately, explictly excludes hybrids in the fine print (but at least seems good for X-Plan, if I change my mind to a gas-only Titanium) - one listed in my owner.ford.com acct. The fine print on that one is vague (basically "there are exclusions, talk to your dealer"). Car is still a couple of weeks out (awaiting shipping as of yesterday morning). But curious to know if the private incentives do exist for hybrids.
  21. Yes. The tech notice was out to dealers about 2 weeks ago and there were multiple threads on this. The only thing apparently new is the recall notice. For some reason it seems the PR folks like Fridays for bad news.... Multiple owners have reported having the work done. In 1.5 to 2 hours. And requiring removal of the bumper.
  22. Car looks terrific! Makes me want (again) to wait for the Titanium Hybrid, even now, that my SE Hybrid has been built. As for the foot - probably from the following picture. http://s110.beta.photobucket.com/user/camride/media/2013%20Fusion/First%20Day%20Home/P1000138.jpg.html#/user/camride/media/2013%20Fusion/First%20Day%20Home/P1000147.jpg.html?&_suid=1354887300067023877041731696324
  23. Cyberdman, Can I please have this week's update? Crossing my fingers - it may have been built now! Thanks in advance, Salva 2013 Fusion - VIN 3FA6P0LU8DR193062
  24. This was posted somewhere else in the forums. Reposting since it affects people here that may not monitor that forum. Immediate action is recommended for the affected. "Customers driving 2013 Escape vehicles equipped with the 1.6-liter engine and 2013 Fusion models equipped with the 1.6-liter engine are advised to contact their dealer as soon as possible to arrange for alternative transportation at no charge. Repair procedures are not currently available. " http://media.ford.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=37458
