  1. Dignity... it would take a 20% raise to give us buying power we had in 2005. This number does not include the long list of give backs we swallowed. We will never enjoy that standard of living again.
  2. Another thing we can thank this sorry ass organization for. I wont call it a union...it doesn't fit.
  3. The steel companies used to rotate everybody every 6 weeks.
  4. They {White collar} don't need COLA the have an annual rise. Not to mention a bonus that is far above what we get.
  5. Jimmy Hoffa called people like you "scared old women". Back then if the SOW had their way we would never arrived at the standard of living we have today. Make no mistake about it: it's a fight. No one ever won or keep anything without a fight. I for one am sick of the SOW apologizing for making a middle-class living. Don't go in to this fight on your knees and for Gods sake don't be an SOW...just saying.
  6. Besides Ford stock hasn't moved in 5 years. Keep holding.
  7. You've got to be kidding me, ever hear of a company called ENRON.
  8. Just another way we got hosed in past 10 years.
  9. 10k signing bone, and you"ll dance a jig.
  10. If this is an example of union leadership no wonder we are where we are at. Laduff also failed to mention the fact that those 360 also retire a double pension.
  11. Ktp1989, I apologize tor plagiarizing your post but I felt it was a very powerful statement that bore repeating,
  12. Bottom line...4 international raises in the past 10 years and none for us. We have had to give up alot and they have given up nothing. You bargained to get lower tier wages into the system and wonder why your coffers are reduced? Real simple, if we gave up so much why did the IUAW reduce to match the numbers on the floor. They not only did not reduce, they increase salaries and now complain that the coffers are low! Membership drops from 60k to 40k then you reduce your leadership by 1/3...isn't that how we determine reps in the plant based on numbers? Then every dollar on the hour you get in raises in the next contract is an extra $24 per member per year that goes into the fund. We win, you win...simple math. 44,000 members x $24 a month extra equals over 1 million extra...make it happen. And if they raise dues without raises then all these right to work states workers will start opting out and then what...raise dues again? Simple, we make money...you make money.
  13. Here's an idea Mr. King increase the hourly wage for your workers and your problem is solved. Otherwise your no better than the company, quit coming after the worker for your payday.
  14. Now that we are a right to work state, do we still have to pay union dues? To be honest I don't think I'm getting my moneys worth.
