2025 Ford Expedition

To be fair to lincoln, cadillac and jeep dont stock the base trims of their suvs regularly. When my dad was looking for his escalade, he had to order because every dealer only had the premium and platinum trims, which were all over 115k. It's too soon if infiniti will better stock their pure trim, but I dnt see many on cars.com. -

Actually, the navigator reserve with its price increase is the luxury suv value leader. True, the price went up to 99k, but with what you get to start, it undercuts all of its competitors. None of its competitors can be had with 4wd, massage seats, upgraded sound, and self driving under 100k (without destination). The same features for the escalade, w/o sc 110k, w/ sc 120k. Grand wagoneer to get said features is 110k minimum as well. The closest competitor is the qx80, which is 102k which has those features with the powered sec row. If you add self driving, price goes to 106k, which is about even to nav w/ enhanced 2nd row. Should ford have added a base trim with less features, probably, but they probably didn't sell enough to justify adding that trim, atleast right now. I was dreading that price increase, but playing with the builds on all the lux suvs, the nav makes out well. I will say, the black label makes a less compelling value, as it's just as pricey as it's competitors but without the over the top tech they have. 130k But no night vision, digital rear view mirror, air suspension, or intercom system...? That was a misstep. There's no my25 build and price for tahoe/yukon or armada to compare against the expy. The price seems about even to the prior years expy since it bundles alot of the features that were optional on the prior years, but they didn't enhance any of its features, like 8 way passenger seat, only heated sec row, and you have to get ultimate pkg to get massage seats which ups price to 90k. -
'25 Navigator Order Bank is now open.

Thw starting price is high, but with all the features standard, most competitors are more expensive feature for feature. The exception is the infiniti qx80, mainly because the power 2nd row seats are standard on the qx80, and the self driving option is cheaper than the powered seat option for the nav reserve. However, if you dnt add the enhanced 2nd row seats, the reserve is the best value. No other suv in the class adds massaging front row seats and upgraded sound systems at less than 100k (not including destination). After you add some options (there's really only 24 in wheels, enhanced 2nd row, colors and tow), its more or less the same as the others. -

I dnt like that you have to get the 24in wheels to get massage seats. It shouldve been a stand alone option on the platinum or added to the driver/stealth performance packages -

Smith the new pricing, its actually very competitive. If you option the current reserve to get the same features as the new reserve, they are around the same price (massage seats, upgraded sound, 4wd). I would like to see the study guide because the sites don't do a good job of laying out the standard features and the b&p don't break down the features well. -

I think they did this because on the build and price, the platinum is outfitted like the limited, and you have to add packages to get the same options as the current platinum. -

chief engineer details changes and why the changes were made. A lot of info. Edit: gm is doing press drives for the my25 Tahoe and suburban starting next week. -
The order banks will supposedly open on or about Oct 24, 2024, so the order guide and build and price should be out around that time.

It looks like the platinum trim will come in atleast 5 pkgs, a base pkg, stealth, stealth performance, something called the drivers pack, and ultimate. The kr trim looks to fill the old limited trims niche. -

Tbh, the black applique is a good idea. Me personally, i don't think they implemented it well, considering the design of the tailgate and lights as well as the rest of the car, it potentially could've been very tasteful with the design they have. I actually think the new design wise looks way better than the new armada. The armada was able to do the same black tailgate applique, but its far more tasteful to my eyes. They didn't force the applique for boldness sake, they added it within the design of the tailgate. -

The real question...is it better implemented in the ford than the gms? The buttons are closer to you hand, but the gms alow just the console cubby to move and has organizers where as the whole console moves back to include cupholders. -

Timberline did well for them, but i guess tremor is more recognizable since its used on the pickup lines. They didn't mention if tremor was going to be available on the max. I'm going to assume it is, but that's going to affect a lot of choice if it isn't for many customers. -

The stealth package is my fave look so far. I would get a dark color to hide the tailgate accent. https://youtu.be/qczWhp8UoHo?si=puWnIpBS2QnoWPzw -

After checking out the journalists vids and the b roll vids on media site, I'm liking it more. I do like the front, and I guess with black paint it would hide the black tailgate motif. I'm actually not mad at the front instrument screen. It's looks like what most mid sized crossover use and the current escalade, the only thing that makes it seem off is how large the interior is and how pushed back it is relative to the steering wheel. It would've looked better if ford added a bezel on the screen, but In front of the driver, it looks rele good tbh. Also, the seats look extremely comfortable, and we all know ford knows how to make comfy seats. In TFLs video, apparently ford told them they redesigned the frame and suspension front and rear. They showed a close up of the rear and it does look slightly different, closer to what the gms suspension arms and sub frame look like. There are some features that It or the nav doesn't have, but its still a nice truck and I actually prefer the interior over the yukon(I do like the Tahoe dash for 2025). I think my initial thought was that they didn't do enough seeing as they knocked it outta the park with the 4th gen, they laid the ground work for a fantastic truck, and with so much potential, just wanted them to stay on the wave. Now I see, they still didn't do everything we wanted, but they did make it competitive enough, and that's all ford wanted to do. The nav is still my fave of all fs suvs atm, but I wouldn't be mad owning one of these. -

I rele like the look of this package...until you see the tailgate and see how ford royally fucked that up. It's more irritating that I actually see a beautiful rear end design. But yeah if ford charges 85k plus for this, I'm going navigator. And ford isn't offering a red paint for both this and the nav...why? -

Ford took 1100 hours of notes from current customers...I don't believe that at all. It's not bad, but its not great either. It's almost like they didn't even try with these fs suvs. -
Tonight's the night, we are we expecting with this reveal? Is there anything that intrigues yall, any features you hope they reveal? Are yall just looking to be disappointed? Hopefully, they reveal a hybrid of some kind or atleast different engine options. Can't think of too much else because the navigator didn't receive anything new

My dad always had a pickup and a family suv. He had a ram 1500 and for the 10 yrs he owned it, was amazing. It's actually one of the reasons I like fs suvs so much, theyre just pickups with more family friendly ride and space, until recently. Now they feel like luxury cars lol and in some instances ride better than their suv counterpart. I rele liked the pre refresh f150. I got to drive one with the 5.0 and liked it alot. I'd personally get the 2.7 as it seems to have the least amount of issues, but you couldn't get that engine with kr or platinum trim. The hybrid seems nice though their still some teeth g issues they fixed with the refresh. However, the refresh to me is a downgrade in terms of looks. If I get an f150, I would probably look for a good deal on a 22 or 23.

Hopefully, but from what I've seen, gm still doesn't offer adjustable pedals, which is a necessity for my wife. Also, except for the escalade, the seats are always hard. I haven't sat in a tahoe, but I've driven the denali a few times and we felt the same each time about the seats not feeling comfy. Also, my wife hates the brake feel too. I've seen they moved many of the buttons from the left side of the steering wheel, which I appreciate because i can't stand the left side button cluster personally, there's no way to know what your pressing without looking. Also, I dont like the tumble 2nd row seats either. We've had the current armada, and your right, the seat is way too close to the wheel. The new one has a lot more 1st row legroom so that may have been addressed. From the test drives, the engine from the v6 is still prevalent. My wife actually liked the armada we had, and the issues we had seemed to be addressed with the new one, which is why I wanted her to drive one. I'm mulling over a pick up truck since we have a 3 row with the cx9. If we can get a good buy out when the lease is up, I'd like to keep it as it's a good car. We like the size, comfort and safety of the fs suvs especially on the highway. The only truck that Interests me though is the ram 1500. I would like to drive the Sierra, but is a little too old school.

I'm hoping that ford surprises us tomorrow at the reveal, going off the navigator, they completely dropped the ball. So many features left out, just plain ignoring their customer base, and investing in things noone asked for which is a shame because the 4th gen version did so much for the company and their perception in a positive way...why not capitalize on it. The lincoln reveal came and went, and if the flagship was so bleh in terms of excitement, can't expect much from the everyday version. Don't get me wrong, I love the new navigator, and that's still the suv I'm leaning towards In The near future, however my wife asked me why I didn't want another expedition and I told her "it hasn't been revealed, but the navigator doesn't have much added to it that would've made it better but the look. If the expedition doesn't look nearly as good, there's no point to it". I'm finding it hard to get excited about any vehicle in the segment at this point. The gms look good and ppl love em, but we find their interiors to be off in terms of comfort and convenience. The jeeps have better interiors, space, and the best on road refinement in the segment, but its ugly on most trims, and reliability is still lacking. Toyota should be ashamed of what they did to the sequoia, nuff said. The Germans are way too small, no better than our current cx9. My wife doesn't like the new armada at all. I'm waiting for our local infiniti dealer to get more qx80s so we can look at them, that's the only other vehicle Id buy in the segment.

Doubt it. Every expedition remodel has been criticized as just a refresh since 2003. The only year the remodel seemed like a true remodel was 2018 for the 4th gen, and even then, people critiqued it for biting the f150s apple too much for the interior, and not changing the suspension components. Ironically, the 2nd and 3rd gens changed the suspension a bunch but not the body or powertrains enough. Ford seems staunch that the 25s are remodels, hence the 5th gen moniker. I'm sure the my28 refresh will just tone up the head and taillights some to look similar to whatever the pick ups look like. I still dnt like that they pushed these innovative or popular features heavy, was successful with them on the truck platform, and the customer base is damn near begging for it, but they refuse to add it to the suv based on the platform, which would ultimately help raise sales. It was like this for the 5.0, 2.7, hybrid, and also features like on board scales, recline seat, flip console, second row flip down arm rest, on board generator and some others as well.

not like it matters, but it does look like it rides a bit softer on the base springs, which is good.
