  1. If you're talking about letting the car shift, yes the normal drive mode will be more economical as the sport mode will hold the gears longer under acceleration. If you're using the paddles or the switch on the shifter, it could go either way depending on what time in the RPM band you're shifting.
  2. Doesn't look as good in real life, IMO. Looks like the center stack has cheap plastic zits all over it.
  3. There won't be. Just a few holes.
  4. Yeah there are 2-3 bolts on each side holding it down.
  5. The Mondeo (international version of the Fusion) has had the physical buttons since last year. The 16 Fusion Titanium interior is the same. Because people (and journalists) hate touch sensitive buttons, for some reason.
  6. It's just black without metallic flake. Probably a cost cutting measure by Ford. Pretty lame.
  7. Fusion. The design is more current and the technology (Energi) is more interesting.
  8. No Sync 3. Here's a new 2016 on cars.com Updated center stack looks nice though. http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/634605776/overview/
  9. The same thing happened to my key, the dealer replaced the entire fob under warranty without any question. Might want to give that a try.
  10. What happened? Looks like he was trying to pass you by going into the oncoming lane and cut you off... Anytime the airbags deploy, there's a much stronger likelihood the car will be totaled.
  11. Glad to hear they were able to come up with a solution for you. Hopefully it does the trick.
  12. Interesting, didn't realize the redesign was a 2015 model. Seems silly they wouldn't just jump to 2016 considering it's already almost April and they're barely even on dealer's lots yet.
  13. Don't count on Sync 3 being in the 2016 Fusion. I don't think even the 2016 Edge has it.
  14. In the US, AWD was exclusive to the Titanium until the 2015 model year.
  15. Ha. This happened on my Acura TL @ about 6 years old and there were two of them holding the hood up. What an unpleasant experience it was opening the hood one day to have it smack me right in the head.
  16. It is a great color! It looks like black most the time, but is more interesting in the sun.
  17. Acura TL with 18s. The Fusion with 19s you just feel every single bump and uneven surface. I've driven a Fusion S with the 17 (16?) inch wheels and man what a difference. Felt like a different car. I've considered swapping the 19s for the 18 inch gloss black SE wheels, but I only have the car for another 15 months before I turn it in (lease). I'd imagine the difference would be noticeable as not only are the wheels smaller in size, but the rubber is not as low-profile. I think that really is the kicker.
  18. I have the 19s and find the ride to be terrible. So stiff and choppy.
  19. I've already curbed two...it was a big bummer but it is what it is. My screen will dim, but it won't go into true night mode like on other cars where the map turns black.
  20. Yes - happens when the battery voltage is lower than normal. Has been occurring more frequently lately with the extreme cold here in Michigan. My forward collision warning went off the other day with the "ugly" lower quality sound...wow that sure got my attention. Yuck. It just comes from the single speaker inside the dash.
  21. 1) I've noticed the same issue 2) Yes the brake lights will illuminate. Not sure if you've used ACC extensively yet or not, but the system will absolutely SLAM on the brakes if it needs to...it'd be quite dangerous if the brake lights didn't come on 3) I hate this as well. My 05 Acura TL did this and I loved it. I thought the solution would be simple, so I programmed one of the three driver's memory settings to have both the mirrors tilt down...only to find the car has to be in park in order to switch between memory presets. Dumb design. 4) Can't speak much on the system as I don't have it, but I'd imagine the radar sensors are programmed to pickup on metal cars only...might be difficult for the car to know what a parking space is and what isn't if there aren't any other cars parked. Glad you're enjoying it! I debated going with a CLA or A3, but couldn't pass up the value of the Fusion Titanium. So many more features.
  22. Sorry to hear. You're not alone with the electrical issues, a few members on 2GFusions.net have experienced the same thing where the car just shuts off and won't restart. One individual's car was out of service for weeks, leading to Ford buying it back. The issues seem to plague Titaniums more so than SEs. I wish you the best; it may take your dealer a while to determine the issue. Crossing my fingers I don't experience such a problem.
  23. Bummer. ACC is the best option.
  24. No, there will not be a refresh. The order guide for 2016 has already been leaked on another forum. Only changes are to paint colors and a few options.
