I’ve seen them force retirement before if you’re a big enough fuck up. It was either retire by the end of the day on a certain day or be fire and lose everything. I expect to see far more of that.

Still waiting on the official announcement but what local leadership told the strikers at the line is the strike is officially over at 8pm and stand by for return to work instructions. That is being coordinated between union leaders and management right now.
It’s partly because it was a 100 percent mailing system and not everyone has their correct address on file. Had they had every local do an in person ballot turnout would have been much higher
