  1. Agreed Fuzzy, but from what I've been told several other manufacturers have already resolved the rfid problem.
  2. Here's a video about some of the devices.
  3. Not 100% positive. But high 90%. Some people were caught on video last week using one of the devices as well. In SoCal they have been using these for a while now I guess. Starting to spread across the country as well. Huge security vulnerability...
  4. There is a new piece of technology that allows theives to get in to any ford with keyless. They got in mine the other night using a device that extends the rfid the remote sends out. So even though my fobs were inside the house they were able to walk right up and open the door. Police highly recommend getting a rfid blocker box to store your keys in. This holiday has sucked due to a vulnerability ford needs to address.
  5. I am also now in the market for tires. Has anyone tried the Pirelli Cinturato P7 A/S Plus? They seem to have high ratings in all weather conditions and this is my wife's daily driver in CO. Please let me know. Thanks
  6. Bailey is right. you won't see or feel any difference. You will get a CAI whistle though that is pretty annoying. Just do a K&N replacement filter. This way you won't have to buy new air filters. Even with that you won't notice more power. I average 1 mpg more than with stock. So no real improvements changing it. Just save your money instead of buying a pointless CAI
  7. Glad to hear they found a solution. Please let us know if it happens again. I have copied and emailed what Ford did to fix your car to my dealer. Will see what they say.
  8. 2014 Titanium that did something like this. My wife was pulling out of a parking spot and was going about 10mph when the car started surging forward, stalled and the brakes slammed on( the car hit the brakes, not my wife). Car would not restart. Had towed and dealer could find nothing wrong.
  9. The dealer does appear to be pushing this as "not a big deal". They are telling me that Ford is telling them that without codes popping that there is no issue. I have filed complaints with Ford and NHTSA.
  10. Dealer is stating that since they are unable to replicate the issue on demand and Ford is stating that there is no issues reported, that nothing can be done. There are dozens of forums with people posting this exact same issue. Some including accidents because of it. Seems like another GM style "if we don't acknowledge it. It doesn't exist" way of business.
  11. Got a call from Ford today. And guess what.... Unable to replicate the problem... So the dealer is saying that there is nothing they can do. I told him that I have found at least a dozen other people with issues exactly like mine and several have caused accidents. He totally blew that off. So frustrated as I do not want my family in the car anymore unless the problem is fixed. I got this car to relieve safety concerns and in turn it has caused new ones. And Ford is unwilling to help.
  12. Hi, This letter is in reference to a 2014 Fusion Titanium AWD with 8k miles on it. There have been numerous issues with build quality I can go over at a later point. But the new issue could be a serious one that could cause a accident/death. My wife was leaving Target last night at about 6pm. She exited her parking spot and was proceeding to go through the lot. She got to about 10 mph when the car starting lunging forward on it's own. She said it felt like the car was trying to accelerate on it's own. Happened 3-4 times and then the brakes engaged as if she had slammed them on. But she wasn't touching the brakes at that time. And then the car lost all electrical power and died. She tried to restart it but nothing was happening. We ended up having it towed to Chapel Hills Ford in Colorado Springs. Service advisor is Chris Taylor. In checking NHTSA complaints, this is not a seldom case of this happening. There are several others already like this. Two of which have caused accidents. I bought this car for my wife so she and my daughter would be safer. Now because of this, I am afraid for them to be in it. Please let me know what is going on?
  13. This is about a 2014 Fusion Titanium AWD with 8k miles. My wife was leaving Target last night. Exited her parking spot and was proceeding to go through the lot. She tried to restart it but nothing was happening. So we had it towed to our local ford dealer. In checking NHTSA complaints, this is not a seldom case of this. There are several others that sound a lot like this. Two of which have caused accidents. I bought this car for my wife so she and my daughter could be safer. And now I fear letting them get back in it.
  14. Dave-S, Seems like it might be pretty common. I stopped by a dealer the other day that had 4 2014 titanium's on their lot. 2 of them already had a couple spots that had chips in the same location as mine.
  15. Both the bumper and fender areas have it chipping off. I'll be out of town for a while so I have an appointment early Jan. Hate that that is the soonest I can get it in. But I will update this post once I get the answer.
  16. Has anyone else noticed paint chipping off of where the bumpers meet the fender panels? All four locations on mine have large chips. Could this be because they put the bumpers on too tight or uneven? Will it be covered under warranty? Very frustrated seeing I only have 6000 miles on the car and this is about the 10th issue. Thanks,
  17. I have the same issue on my 14 Fusion Titanium. Bugging me to no end... Let me know if you get your dealer to correct.
  18. Hi, I cant find the answer anywhere online so hopefully someone here knows. The instrument cluster/gauges have zero illumination during the day. Are there different bulbs for daytime? I can't see them if there is any sun in my truck. With my headlights on they work fine. So does anyone else have this issue or know the answer? I hope this makes sense. Thanks
  19. Forgot about this post... lol.. I replaced all 8 cops and it fixed the crappy idle and 95% of hesitation. Now it only hesitates at times right after start up.
  20. I would never use an impact gun on these engines plugs... That is asking to break a few if not all of them. Also increases the chance of stripping the thread on the engine. I have a 07 Screw that I replaced all 8 plugs without damaging or breaking one of them. Have done 3 others for friends and have yet to break one. Items that help Seafoam Carbon cleaner OTC-6900 F-150 Spark plug socket Torque Wrench Permatex 77134 Nickel Anti-Seize Lubricant Kano Aerokroil Penetrating Oil Spray Motorcraft SP-515 Plugs First, buy a can of Sea Foam carbon cleaner. Put 6-8oz of it in you booster line. This way it goes straight to the cylinders. Once it is in turn off the engine and let the truck sit for about 15-20 minutes. Turn it on and run it around for a few blocks. It will blow most of the carbon out. So be careful as it can get very smokey. But it works great. Second, Spray each plug with the Kano Oil and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. Then set your torque wrench to 5-10lbs and try to loosen bolt 1/8 turn. Then spray again with Kano. Let this one sit for an hour if possible. Then they come right out. Then just make sure you use the anti-seize on the new plugs and tighten to I believe 24lbs. Just my thoughts and experience on these though
  21. Here are some photos of the them. I checked out some other Fusions today and noticed about half of them have this bow on at least one door. So it seems pretty wide spread. I only looked at the titanium models.
  22. Hey, I just wanted to see if anyone else has the plastic piece surrounding the window switch on the back doors bowing? Both mine and my father-in-laws 14 titanium have this happening. Haven't made it to the dealer yet to have this and a few other items looked at. Really annoying to have so many small issues with a brand new car. Thanks, James
  23. Do you remember the color of the wires you tied in to? Guess I should also ask, what model Fusion/Stereo do you have? Does yours have the 6x8's in the rear deck? Or just the four door speakers? The PDX series you have is the best out there. Little biased as I worked for Alpine though.
  24. Bump please: Can I please get a status update? No longer for me( I picked up one with a few more options). But a friend decided to wait for this one. VIN# 3FA6P0K90ER365907 Thanks, Have a great rest of your week! And thanks again for what you and this forum does
  25. WRCRS, where did you connect the LOC? Did you connect it to a full range speaker out or maybe a tweeter?
