its really not that big of a deal, just opt out. the vast majority of companies do this already. And if you have such passion about these 2 topics, i expect to see you at the union meeting tomorrow at noon...

Both weeks. 8/8 & 8/15 2 weeks in Sept. & 2 weeks in Oct as well

I see seniority doesn't matter anymore.. There are a ton of people with 10+ years that would jump at that job, but they just give it to the lowest seniority people at MAP? Cracks me up the union allows this

I got word from 2 bargaining reps last week at FRAP that we should be hearing from our PC's soon about going back to MAP. The people retiring have to be gone by May 1st Not saying that's iron clad or anything, just info I got from 2 BR's at FRAP.

I would assume the call backs are to fill the spots of those leaving to Livonia or retiring. And yes, I'm sure more layoffs to come this year, small cars aren't doing well at all right now

I'm currently at FRAP "on assignment" my hire date is 4/9 and I haven't gotten any call yet. Will post if I do

I wasn't told anything about the last extension other than it "might get approved" by a bargaining rep at FRAP. Never heard another thing, it's mid February and I've still never been told that we got extended in December...

Right but we've also had two extensions already, why do you think we won't be extended again

When and from whom did you hear layoff in March? I heard MAP might be getting one, would that stil affect us that are at other plants on assignment?

Im talking about all of the employees from MAP who did choose to keep working at other plants, like myself, who is still working on LTS assignment. I don't think its right to hire people off the street while all of us are at other plants as LTS. We should be placed permanently first.

Please someone explain to me how Ford can start testing for Dearborn Assembly new hires while so many from MAP are still out on ILO and some are at other plants working LTS assignments... Shouldn't full time employees be placed first before new hires come in off the street? I asked a bargaining Rep today and he told me they just found out yesterday and have asked international UAW with no response yet. And no this isn't a rumor, testing was today, a friend of mine was part of it and was told it is for Dearborn Assembly

How is it that people who are LTS have been hired to full-time status at Dearborn and Flat Rock even though there are many FULL TIME people off from MAP on ILO or on temporary assignments at other plants who should be placed permanently before any LTS is hired full-time. Something isn't adding up

I am on temporary assignment at flat rock and have been here since July I got a Robo call telling me I can sign for Livonia transmission so I went up to map yesterday and signed the bid even asked the guy at the window if there was any problem with me signing since I'm on assignment at flat rock and he said no

What kind of shifts do they run at Livonia transmission.. Eight hour shifts or 10 hour shifts?

When they sent out a large number of entry-level employees to ILO from Michigan assembly then turned around a few months later and hired in many LTS to entry level from flat rock and Dearborn before placing those out on ILO

I hope anybody that is in a plant out of state gets back to Michigan if that's what they want but don't forget there are a lot of people out on ILO and tlo that all need to be placed before they ever open up anything for transfers
