  1. So if what you're saying is true and they are used to cover absenteeism the temps at Chrysler are on call?? I call BULLSHIT..
  2. You're totally missing the point, under this current contract proposal to the members of fca, the company would be allowed to bring in DOUBLE the amount of temps whenever they wanted, NOT just when times are slow.
  3. This new contract proposal that the members of fca are scheduled to vote on always FCA to use double the amount of temporary workers that their allowed to use now. This language WASN'T in the 1st contract proposal, nor was it in the highlights of this current contract proposal, so be careful when it comes time for us to vote on our contract. For the IUAW to allow this to be in the contract after they complained about foreign auto makers using temps to keep labor costs low is a joke, practice what they preach.
  4. Because FMC wants them to use it to lease or buy a Ford Vehicle instead of using it to buy some beer
  5. Who cares about what Google employee's get....Pablo and his UAW Brothers and Sisters at the Ford Engine Plant in Chihuahua Mexico get free Tacos and Burritos on Friday's that are cooked by their Process Coaches...
  6. Just remember this when it comes to our contract...
  7. Caustic,Let me get this right, You don't like this contract proposal to the members of fca BUT you liked the 1st one and would have voted yes on it if that same proposal was presented to you???
  8. Because a "new" person, tier 2's overall's package is a lot less then a legacy worker. No pension, different insurance package which cost the company less to insure them. So that's why they would offer buyouts to legacy workers...
  9. The membership has spoken and we (IUAW) have listened...
  10. Pablo and the rest of his UAW Mexican brothers and sisters say, "legacy gringo's it could always be worse the only thing our legacy workers are getting is a warm cerveza and a cold beef burrito"...
  11. Pablo and his UAW Brothers are Sister's at the Chihuahua Mexico Engine Plant say that only a Gringo would agree to a 2 tier system..
  12. Ohh ok... just like FCA honored the tier 2 cap that they said would be in place on this contract from their last one?? Instead IUAW said it was a misprint...
  13. How about a $1000 car voucher for everyone??
  14. What don't you like about the deal, what would you like to see added?,
  15. I'm not for them shifting production of the Focus at CMax to Mexico. Keep it where it's at, as gas prices go up there will always be a need for small cars like the focus. Another truck such as the Ranger I don't see a need for it unless you could get a maxed out one for 15k-20k which isn't going to be the case, not when a focus cost more than that. Anything higher priced than that you're better off buying a F150. Another SUV such as a Bronco, unless it was a full size which it wont be then yeah maybe, but if its not then that takes away from the Explorer, Escape and Edge sales. What's the answer, I think keep the focus where it's at and bring the production of the rear wheel drive focus here too. I just can't see there being a big enough market for a small truck and another SUV.
  16. There's absolutely no way they would honor it if the economy is down and car sales are down.
  17. When car sales are down, profits are down in 4 years do you really think the Big 3 will honor this contract and still agree to bring tier 2 up to $29/hr??? There's no way. The economy will take a down swing by then, every economist says so. Tier 1s have gone how long without getting a raise because of a slumping economy and took concessions, so what makes you feel if the economy is down in 4 years that the Big 3 will still agree having tier 2s go up to $29/hr???
  18. I agree none of those are selling very good at this time but you NEVER not fight to keep a product even if their replacing it with another. Heard MAP might get version of the Ranger and Bronco, how big of a market is there for both of them?
  19. From what's been reported, this contract sucks too. 2, 3 percent raises for tier 1 and for tier 2, 8 years to reach $29/hr. What happens if the economy is down after 4 years and vehicle sales are down?? Do you think the Big 3 will honor this current contract and agree to still bring tier 2 up to $29/hr?? Absolutely not, their going to renegotiate and then tier 2s are stuck at the wages that their at on the end of that 4 year contract, tier 2 will NEVER see $29/hr and the Big 3 know that.. Its a false promise that they know they won't keep.
  20. If he was concerned with steady work then there would have been more of a fight to keep work from going to Mexico.
