2018 Navigator Issues...Maybe?

Ive seen people enabling the tilting mirrors with FOREscan, if you wanna go that route. I disabled the double horn honk thing and it was super easy. -

Yeah I understand the keypad entry part, I just didnt know if the handles would also work thus defeating the purpose of locking the key in the car. I guess the key has a pretty sensitive proximity range to be able to tell if Its in your pocket on the outside of the car vs inside the car. -

I think the key fob is too big which doesnt help the buttons getting accidentally pushed, I wish it was smaller. I guess having the actual backup key inside the fob makes it tough to make it any smaller. I only carry the fob, no keys at all so buttons getting pushed happen from leaning against stuff. -

How does that work with the touch lock/unlock door handles? -

Ive experianced the mirror issue and seen it mentioned here and another message board for both the Navigator and Expedition. The windows being down has happened to me one time but I believe it was due to the key being in my pocket and, by chance, activating the window down button combo. I believe the same is possible for the liftgate but if it happens more than a couple times Id suspect a larger problem. I believe my seatbelt chime takes about 10-15 seconds before actually making any noise. -
2019 Lincoln Navigator Production Information

So is this tariff related or Ford just trying to get closer to the Escalade cost to maximize profits? The tech package should have been standard equipment in the Reserve model for 2018 IMHO. -
Yes, its annoying but not as bad as the hot Georgia swamp ass it alleviates. Seriously though, I do wish it was quieter... I enjoy the quiet the vehicle provides when youre not using it. When using the remote start with the vent seat on high, if I let it run a minute or so before I get in the seat is sufficiently cooled and I dont have to runs the seat vent nearly as long.

As bad ass as this rear engine vette is, plus the low cost vs what other makes it competes with, I wonder if they will be finally be able to get away from the redneck holy grail reputation.

I thought about doing an early one around 1000 miles on mine but I didnt. The dealer gave us a few free ones and Im gonna take advantage of it that and the pick up and delivery service at 7500 miles. I expect they will be careful about oil on access panels and all, Im always extremely careful about this kinda stuff when I do my own auto maintenance but this is the first vehicle Ive ever had where it will be a dealer queen as we got extended service plan and extended warranty on it.

Thats in the Vehicle locator section. There is another one in the Navigator section called 2019 order dates.... either way, if we keep this banter up youll have achieved 15 posts in no time haha

Hit up the 2019 order dates thread thats a couple below this one and ask there about your order. Fuzzymoomoo is quick to respond and will give you the most accurate info.

Youll likely kill me for this but I went and checked my dates again, my build date was on December 22, I got the sticker about 3 weeks earlier. I had looked at the wrong email from my dealer when I stated the date above. So sorry.

Sync Connect is receiving data nag screen

Mine did it too but quit after a few times. Recently I had to delete my phone from the list of Bluetooth devices and resync it and that message showed up again the next two times I got in the vehicle, its since stopped. Idk if it takes a while to download all that info or not but you can stop it by going to your Bluetooth devices on your phone and select the Navigator, in that menus there are options for a few items and I believe contact syncing is there (I have an iPhone so I cant comment on any other device). Below is what the menus on my phone looks like: -

Any ideas as to what happened? How long and how many miles have you had it for? That really sucks, sounds like youre on a vacation as well, I hope it gets sorted out quickly. -
Towing with the 2018 Navigator
boredinbirmingham replied to trupilot's topic in Lincoln Navigator Forum
I dont know what to tell you other than if its close enough to cause you to worry maybe better to bite the bullet and go with the weight distribution hitch. Ive never used one so idk how they work but Id have to think the listed weight on the boat and how it actually measures have to be a little different especially after being in the water and having gear on it. I dont own or have ever towed a big boat so Im totally assuming here. -

We went with the full bench in our reserve and with two kids in car seats its been awesome. My wife can jump in the back when the kids require attention while on the move and thats been a game changer. -
Towing with the 2018 Navigator
boredinbirmingham replied to trupilot's topic in Lincoln Navigator Forum
I included the pages from the manual about the weight distribution hitch, this may help answer your question. If you have a VIN you can use it to download your owners manual online if you want, I uploaded mine to my phones kindle app so I have access to it whenever I want so I dont have to keep he giant thing in the glovebox. As for tips towing, as I dont tow much and when I do its just a utility trailer, make sure to program the trailer in the tow settings and it will track your mileage and help you with reversing your trailer. The Navigator automatically goes into tow/haul mode when you connect the trailer power cable unlike the Expedition where you have to manually select tow/haul. Hope this helps.
