  1. There are a lot of things the car does when you open the car door, be it entering or leaving. The noises are normal.
  2. Amyz, was your leak fixed? Mine has a leak in the back - which they are still figuring out
  3. It seems a number of Aviator owners on a Aviator FB group received Deep Sleep alerts via their LincolnWay App this morning (10/30) Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/LincolnAviator/ I'm posting here to see if members of this group received the alert as well. It might be a glitch with the service, but it does not bode well if they are mass-informing us of battery issues that are non existent. In my case, my car is in the lower level of my parking garage that gets no cell coverage. The car would be unable to alert the service to inform me. Others had just driven to work and received the alerts after they would have charged the battery on their morning commute. I've called Concierge to alert them, but they seem clueless as usual. Just letting you know.....
  4. I took delivery on Friday 10/10 and have put close to 500 miles on my car. AWD Diamond Blue Reserve 1 (201A) Trailer hitch Full 2nd row seat Overall Impressions Coming from an Audi Q7, I wanted something that was a bit more plush. The new Audis seem a lot more stripped down inside and a bit too harsh looking outside. The lines and feel of the Aviator are much more refined than the German design. Seats: I have the standard seats and I feel these are more comfortable than what i'm used to. My wife loves them and was the main criteria for the car since she mostly sits in the passenger seat. The 30-way seats seemed too tight on my sides - i'm a trim guy, but felt that the higher-end seats were too constricting (even at the most "open" setting") Standard seats are comfortable and feel great. I will say that they have very agressive lumbars - it took a few days to get used to, but now I don't notice it. Drive: The car drives well, very smooth and super quiet. No rattles I can make out while going over rough roads. I'm not pushing it hard (yet) but the few times i've gunned it - to pass someone, i was shocked at how much power it has. Coming from the 2.7 Audi Q7 this thing is a beast. Adaptive Cruise Control: Having driven some newer Audi's as loaners, the Adaptive cruise control is really good. One indication is how it handles cars shifting infront of you. The car does really well adapting to all sorts of conditions. I felt really comfortable using it for 60-70 miles on Long Island, NY trafffic. Sound System: (14-speaker system) Sounds great. Great bass and really full sound. Sync3 system: Works well, Nav is good, CarPlay is preferred, Voice control works well. Touch screen is OK, doesn't react like an iPhone, but does the job Auto Start/Stop: Very fast restarts. Not a fan, but the car is so quiet, sometimes you can't tell it's even turned off. Parking assist: Haven't tried it yet Let me know some other questions and I'll add to this post.
  5. I have heard of a cracked sunroof frame from a user on some message board somewhere. Sorry this happened. Hopefully it’s fixed now.
  6. This sailboat is super light with a small trailer - not like a 22ft speed boat or anything...
  7. I never figured out that Transit Date value. I asked around and still have no understanding of what it means.
  8. 9. I ordered in April and it was built on 7/19 - delivered on 10/10
  10. Yes, Got car on Friday and have put about 300 miles on it. Drives really well (smooth) and very quiet. The interior is incredible and the look of the car is so great. Really happy with the purchase. I towed my son's 18' 420 sailboat for about 100 miles on Monday and actually forgot the trailer was on the car. The car is truly Quiet Flight. I'm still getting used to it and have not seen any issues. I'll do a long post once I have more time with the car.
  11. Got mine on Friday. Love it!! Enjoying it this weekend and will report back during the week.
  12. Ahh that silver seat piece is only on Black label. Keep us posted on the missing Speedo label solution. Regards,
  13. @Bellanca did you ever get a resolution on this disappearing speedometer issue? Another owner is having the same issue on the Aviator Facebook group, which I highly recommend joining. https://www.facebook.com/groups/920229461360147/
  14. I'll post more pics after the weekend.
  15. Yes, the reality is that the seats are a lot lighter than in the Lincoln.com renders (Pic below) - but they're darker than the "Ebony BL" interior in the Black Label. This saddle brown color is really nice, if only it was possible in the Reserve.
  16. My Reserve I Diamond Blue with Roast interior came into the dealer yesterday. I stopped by today to give it a once-over and it looks great. My worry about shifted rear panels (see original post in this thread) and other things mentioned on this board were non existent. While the outside was a bit dirty before cleaning, the interior was flawless. Here's hoping the functional things I couldn't test today are good at delivery on Friday.
  17. I live in NYC, so the hitch is actually a good deterrent from people bumping me (not that I park on the street a lot). I frequently use the hitch transport 420 sailboats so I tend to leave it on to be functional and good protection. I figure I’d rather have just the hitch hole in the second cover and I would remove for actual trailering l when I need to plug it in.
  18. Yes I plan to do the same if there is not an add'l version to accommodate the hitch. I was figuring i could use a digital caliper to measure from the top of the trim piece to each of the corners of the hitch receiver to figure the space to cut.
  19. So it looks like the hitch cover on the 2020 Aviator is an all-or-nothing affair, where the cover is either on and covering the entire hitch receiver and plugs, or it's off and exposing the entire area. While I realize that the designers pretty much want the hitch hidden because it messes up the look of the car, there are definitely times where I would want the hitch connected for say, a weekend without that inelegant open look. Hoping there might be an additional cover to allow hitch to come thru bumper without all that exposed area. 20. Got word this morning that the car arrived to the Port of Newark in NJ. Now it unloads and sits in lot until a truck gets it and brings it to my dealership. Hopefully 1 week. In Transit - Arrived Rail - Railcar # TTGX941206 (Norfolk Southern Corp ) Dorautram, NJ Oct-03-2019, 18:42 ET By the way, that status check I shared with you seems to be very delayed. Mine hasn't updated in a number of days regardless of a lot of movement and various status thresholds. Take that status with a grain of salt. This is the forum that you have to post your VIN for him to look up. He has a lot of rules to be part of his process. Make sure you follow rules to get updates. https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/forum/80-vehicle-locator-by-ford-employees/ Regards
  21. Update please. Thanks. 5LM5J7XC7LGL04314
  22. Yes. it's on a train. I get detailed status from the Ford employee in this forum on Fridays, so i'll have more current info tomorrow.
  23. Another article, now with owners voicing concern about the issues they are having. These seem isolated, but we need owners on this forum to please share their experiences. Thanks.
