  1. I live 10 minutes from the stand alone Lincoln dealer in Westmont, IL. It is small, lacks parking, outdated, perpetually under construction, and the service area is dingy and not well lit. I may not even go there for my Black Label car washes. Conversely, Fox Lincoln in Chicago, 35 minutes away, is a Ford/Lincoln. Beautiful facility with a definite delineation of Lincoln and Ford. The experience dealing with the sales guy at Fox vs the other one...night and day. So, while to seems stand alone Lincoln would be good, it is not the case at least near me.
  2. Thank you. As I started looking into it, it seemed unnecessary, but just wanted to hear what some of your thoughts. I appreciate it.
  3. Thanks. I am hearing the catch can is not as big a deal with the port injection serving to clean the valves. I'm getting a Navigator, so I don't expect to work it very hard. Thanks for the reply.
  4. I heard the latest generation Ecoboost added port injection to prevent buildup on the intake valves. Has this been effective. Are people still installing "catch cans" on the new Ecoboost?
  5. To me, it makes no difference that Lincoln is a part of Ford. Cadillac sells a ton of Escalades being under the GM/Chevy umbrella. The stand alone Lincoln dealer in Westmont, suburb of Chicago, is a piece if junk, outdated, small, under perpetual construction shack of a place. Not only for those reasons but the schiesher sales team, I drove 40 minutes away to Fox Ford/Lincoln in Chicago vs. the 10 minutes to the other one for the right price. Talk about bad strategy. The Westmont dealer not only wouldn't go under invoice but offered a price $2k over invoice. They lose. The Black Label services, besides car washes, they could bill back to Lincoln the next 4 years, will now go to Fox.
  6. I live in the Chicago area pretty close to a Lincoln dealer, <10 minutes away. Went with one 40 minutes away actually in Chicago to get the price I wanted. I will user the closer one for car washes and the further one for everything else.
  7. Oh okay. Darn, I figured a week or two. Oh well...
  8. Very late to the game here. Didn't know until this thread that was a distinguishing Black Label feature.
  9. Wow, just got a text from my salesman. VIN assigned, build week 2/10/2020, build date 2/16/2020! Guessing a week or so after that for delivery to the dealership, is that about right?
  10. I'm an airline pilot. We have gauges for all sorts of things. Like @akirby said, if an engine parameter is exceeded, we get a warning of it. We never look at the engine gauges during normal operations otherwise. Different, I know, but sort of similar. I think it may neat to look at once in a while, but it seems Lincoln found no added value or to put it another way, a deterrent to someone buying Navigator vs. the competition because of this.
  11. Yes, I consider myself a shrewd negotiator. Just ordered a Black Label for $1041 below invoice, but your price relative to MSRP is impressive. Rebates/incentives?
  12. Maybe not rude, but condescending or anything about the invoice pricing thing. Looking forward to seeing them.
  13. Excellent! Sorry if I came across rude or anything. Hopefully you will show us some pics of the new ride when it arrives.
  14. Thank you. Yes, that does look like the exact build. Multiple dealers had searched that build and none showed up. I'm happy to order, anyway. I know I'm brand new on here. Hope my post above didn't come across poorly. Great info in here.
  15. I just joined. Wish I had seen his thread in November. Ordered a Black Label, Pristine White/Chalet with Cargo Package and second row console two weeks ago. Negotiated for weeks with 2 dealers in the Chicago area. I know the options, etc., better than most sales people. Ended up going with a dealer in Chicago who eventually agreed to my $900 BELOW invoice offer. Their website showed a Chroma Blue in stock I wanted my wife to see. Turns out, the site was incorrect as they had traded that away for a Pristine White. I said, "How about going to an even $1000 below invoice and all will be forgiven." Sort of tongue in cheek and they didn't agree to that. What they did, however, was offer to throw in the $141 floor liners, which I was ordering anyway. So, ended up $1041 BELOW invoice on a brand new factory ordered Black Label. While the Black Labels are "exclusive" maybe, I think not negotiating with me was a mistake by the other dealers. One of them is 10 minutes from my house. Yes, I will use them for the car washes, but the dealer I ordered from, while 40 minutes away, will get to bill Lincoln for my service visits and annual details. Short sighted by the other dealers, and they won't sell me a vehicle next time either. This day and age, with the pricing tools, I would never pay over invoice. They will act like they are losing money, and yes, Lincoln gives no hold back to the dealers, but I am certain there are bonuses paid to them for sales numbers. BTW, have you taken delivery yet?
