  1. People were saying the same thing in 2011, it wasn't true then and it isn't true now.
  2. The Ford in the 1st post is hands down better looking. The Mazda is styling confused.
  3. It's nice, they should rock it until the Ford shield becomes the BMW kidney.
  4. False. If anything, the 6.2 has significantly less reciprocating valve-train mass. The 7.3 also has a timing chain running on nylon guides with a hydraulic tensioner. The 7.3 didn't go with pushrods for any technical benefit other than reduced physical size, less cost and the low RPM range of the engine made OHC less beneficial than in other apps. The 7.3 scaled down to 6.2 wouldn't be much to talk about.
  5. 7.3 Godzilla has run of the mill inline valve wedge heads.
  6. That would make little sense, since the 6.2 has much better cylinder heads.
  7. TFL are all mechanically ignorant morons. I feel dumber everytime I've stumbled across their videos on YT.
  8. Toyota may keep the floorpan for a long time, but the rest of vehicle is getting periodic updates as well.
  9. Was this not impacted by the expenditures required by changing the F-series to aluminum construction? One snapshot in time does not paint a complete picture.

  11. Those platforms were shared across models and in the case of the CD3 even manufacturers (Mazda). Engines, again spread out across the line up. I see more speculation based on familiarity with Ford and far less familiarity with Toyota. I'm just looking for data as opposed to arm-chair speculation.
