  1. One other thing to consider. While you could adjust your hitch to raise increase your clearance above the bed rails, at some point you've gone too far and have your trailer riding nose high. Too much of a nose high attitude puts additional stress on your rear trailer tires/axles which your equalizers can't overcome. At that point, you're eating tires at a higher rate. FYI - I run 8" between my bed rails and the 5er.
  2. I took my F350 SRW in for the recall inspection and asked that they perform the routine maintenance while they had it. Oil hange, fuel/water separator drained, fuel filter changed. After picking up the truck, i made it about 2 miles before "low fuel" pressure warning started flashing followed by a total shutdown. Attempted restart unsuccessful. Root cause was the fuel line backed off of the fuel filter, essentially starving the engine of fuel. I pushed the line back on and the truck started normally. I then had truck returned to dealership via flatbed for a) inspection/reinstallation of the fuel line and b) complete engine compartment detailing as there was fuel sprayed everywhere. My question: I've always heard to never allow a diesel to run out of fuel. Have I now effectively done just that and have I likely damaged something? Thoughts?
  3. @ice-capades - thanks, that's what I expected to happen too, but haven't seen it show up yet. I'll give it a day or 2 and see if it shows up. The service rep seemed to have some problems using the system on his side, so that could be a contributing factor. Edit to add an update: According to the help function chat, it can take up to 10 working days to show up. I'll give it a couple of weeks and check again.
  4. I took my new F350 in for the first oil change yesterday. Will the service history in the FordPass app update automatically to show that visit or do I need to add it manually?
  5. That's good news! I received something in the mail last night for 3 additional months of "SiriusXM All Access", which I really have no interest in. Normally $65/year. None of this is particularly clearly laid out, or at least not where I've seen it/have paid attention to it.
  6. That's what I was afraid the answer was going to be. Thanks for the quick reply!
  7. 2021 F350... I have zero interest in listening to SiriusXM radio, or most any radio for that matter, while I drive. However, I am interested in leveraging the Sync3 navigation, which I believe is based on Google Maps that also shows traffic and hazard conditions. What I can't figure out is am I required to have the SiriusXM subscription to feed the data to the Sync3 Navigation option? I can use Wayze via Apple CarPlay but due to security administrator settings from my employer on my phone, CarPlay doesn't work too well.
  8. If helpful, I just moments ago returned home from picking up my F350 CCSB Platinum with the 6.7L TD. I left the dealer and drove straight to the CAT Scales and with full fuel, DEF and my wife and me in the truck, here are my numbers. Per the CAT Ticket: Steer Axle - 4940 lbs Drive Axle - 3300 lbs Total Weight - 8240 lbs Per door stickers: Payload - 3397 lbs Front GAWR - 5200 lbs Rear GAWR - 7230 lbs GVWR - 11500 lbs Per Fleet guide: GCWR - 30000 lbs How those stack up to your hypothetical F250 with HCTT, I don't know. I'm only offering my experience in the hope it's helpful. 3 months and 2 days ago, I was in your exact place.
  9. Arrived at the dealer last Friday and I'll pick it up in a couple of hours!
  10. My order was accepted on 1/29 and roughly 3 weeks later I received a build date of 3/9. (The build date ended up being 3/15.) Incidentally, the truck was delivered to my dealer last Friday, 3.26, and I discovered it on Sunday. I let my salesman know on Monday that if he would walk out back, he'd find my truck and they could get started getting it ready. I'll pick it up tomorrow afternoon. Lesson learned, track closely and be your own advocate.
  11. Thank you once again @cyberdman. Is the rail car information available? Appreciate your time as always.
  12. May I get an update on this one? The Ford order tracking website has given me 5 different ETA dates. This past weekend it switched from 3/30 to 4/5 to 'N/A' in the span of just over 24 hours. As of this morning, it's back to 4/5. 1FT8W3BT4MED26354
  13. Any chance I can get a build date update for 1FT8W3BT4MED26354? Seems to have slipped a little but I'm not sure why. I thought at first it was just the ETA delivery date that moved, perhaps due to the spay in bed liner, but now I'm being told the build date moved as well. Maybe the same root issue? Thanks!
  14. Ford lists the GAWR for the DANA M275 @ 7230. With the 20" wheels the tires will limit out at 3750 each for a total of 7500. Does anyone have a reference for what DANA lists the axle limit to be? Just curious.
  15. @ice-capades Thank you very much! I’ll follow up with my dealer in the morning. Appreciate the time you all put into this forum.
  16. My order status is still “In Production”, with a scheduled day of 3/9 per my dealer. However, I just noticed my estimated delivery date has moved out a week to 4/1. Does this imply my build date has moved or something involving the shipping process?
  17. Clearly the solution to your problem to your very vexing problem is to keep the Raptor and the Harley and use this opportunity to build a custom toy hauler, painted to match the Raptor of course, in which you can haul the Harley.
  18. Mine is SRW and I did not choose the 11,400 GVWR package so I should end up in a good place.
  19. Really hope you're right. I'm on pins and needles until this truck gets here and I can see what the actual numbers end up being. Thanks.
  20. When I ordered my F350 my dealer and I did not discuss the option of the "Heavy Duty Payload Package". I don't recall even being aware of it despite going through the configuration via the web portal numerous times. What is included in that package? My order is a F350 Platinum with 6.7L TD, 3.31 E-locking rear end, 4x4, 20" wheels, and 5th wheel prep. I'm hoping for as much payload as possible so I removed the sun roof and skid plates to save weight. Did I make a mistake on my order by not including the "Heavy Duty Payload Package"? My scheduled build date per my dealer is 3/9.
  21. Thank you @ice-capades Just out of curiosity, what causes the difference in scheduling weeks. The F150 line, for example, is scheduling for the week of 3/22 while the Super Duty line is scheduling 3 to 4 weeks beyond that with 4/12 and 4/19. Fascinating information regardless so thanks for sharing it.
  22. Sincerely appreciate it. My 350 is on order. I’ll definitely look at the manual once it arrives. Thanks again!
