  1. Picked it up tonight. Nice truck so far f250 xlt 7.3 ordered 4/12
  2. Connecting mine early really didn't have any significance. It just put a picture of the truck into the app, and I think you can access the manuals for the truck in the app, but you cannot "claim" the ownership of the truck yet
  3. I'm with akirby here. I've seen the tutorials, and they look easy....but I think a guy could make a really big, really expensive mess in a hurry if something goes wrong. As an average consumer, I'm not going to take the risk of DIY. An example, I asked our computer whiz to tweak settings on our video surveillience system, he was too busy and just told me to play around with it....well, I spent all day trying to make a simple tweak to make cameras more sensitive and ended up making them non-functional....I spend all day trying to do what would have taken the expert 5 minutes to do in the first place, and he spent a couple hours fixing my damage afterwards.....It was a case of inexperienced me using a cell phone app, that looked and functioned completely differently than the desktop app from the same company. Not getting anywhere on the cell phone, switching to desktop, back to cell phone...etc. It was truly a mess.
  4. Thanks for the in-depth review. Those are respectable mpg numbers, and I'm hoping to see the same results in my new truck with 3.55 gearing. My 2006 f250 5.4 seemed to get around 8.5 no matter what it was doing, It will be nice to improve on that while also having surplus power to boot. My 2006 was the most reliable truck I've had, but absolutely underpowered
  5. I ordered on 4/12, and am picking it up this evening. Shipping took a full month and was the most painful waiting game of all
  6. Thanks for the info. Do you suppose this means my truck is still at the plant after being shipped on 9/18?
  7. Guess that must explain why my delivery date keeps getting pushed another day down the road, with each passing day. Mine was shipped September 18, and and now eta is 10/19. Apparently they lost it
  8. I'm no expert in automotive production, but it seems like at least ford and probably brands need to greatly simplify their process. I asked my parts department about upgrading my XLT wheel to a leather wrapped one that a lariat would have. He said there were at least 22 different steering wheels he was showing, but that he didn't have access to all of the 2022 parts books yet. It's really a miracle they can build any trucks these days given the endless different build configurations, the just in time parts deliveries, and the current chaos in global shipping
  9. The sticker says convoy now, but I think it said something else at first. My dealer said they all come on a train. I never had an eta until it shipped on 9/18. At that time it was 10/9-10/15, Now at the top of the tracker, it says 10/12-10/18.....but the dealer delivery area of the timeline just says TBD now. I'm a bit past the 6 month mark now since ordering
  10. Oh just wait till it says its shipped. Then you'll be 10x more obsessed. Mine shipped on 9/18, with an ETA of 10/15 to central MI. I thought sure it would show up long before that since its only a 6 hour drive to KTP. Now, ETA is 10/18....a full month of shipping. Getting this truck is literally the only thing I can think about, and I'm kinda getting unproductive in my work due to obsessing about it. I literally could have walked to Kentucky by now. I guess there must be a shipping shortage too....Maybe they are still trying to ship the 2021's from the speedway too
  11. Hello Sir, May I please get an update? 1FT7X2BN8NEC60123 Thank you in advance, and hopefully I can send the picture soon
  12. I'm not sure which features, if any the dealer will be willing to turn off, but it would be nice to have a list ready just in case they will do it. I know they won't do the seat belt chime for safety reasons, but what about other ones. I've heard that some vehicles do a double honk if you get out of the vehicle with it running, and our taurus will honk if you get out of the vehicle with it shut off and keys still inside. My ordered truck will be an XLT with an actual key instead of a FOB, so maybe these wont be a problem for me? Any other dings I don't yet know about?
  13. I already responded to this thread, but to add to my respones... My new F250 supercab will replace 3 vehicles, including 2trucks. I ordered the truck new in efforts to simplify my life a bit. 1. Replacing my primary truck, a 2004 dodge 2500 quad cab diesel, still in pristine condition, 172,000 miles (bought it new right out of High School, and selling to my Brother now) 2. Replacing 2006 F250 XL 5.4 reg cab work truck, 191,000 miles 3. Replacing 2012 Ford Fusion I used both old trucks for work, using the dodge in the summer, and ford in the winter. (I always try very hard to not run my dodge in the winter road salt, and only did so as a very last resort. I just used it as a spare plow truck in the winter). Due to the seasonal useage of both trucks, I found myself always replacing brake calipers that were set up due to inactivity. We used to live a ways out of town, and I liked having the Fusion to just run around in running errands. Now that we live much closer to town, I found that the gas savings of having a car does not offset the expense of owning another car, plus I'm not the most organized person in the world and I always find myself driving one vehicle, and needing a tool or something that it is in one of the other vehicles. I finally told myself to simplify and just get one nice truck to do everything with. No more hot brakes to fix once or twice a year, no more transferring licence plates multiple times a year, no more getting to a job and needing the tool that's in my other car. I hate the thought of working with a new truck, which is why I ordered a White XLT. Its got a lot of nice options, but not too nice that I'm afraid to drive it. The white color should help disguise any minor dings or dirt. Now, we will have one truck, and my wife's 2013 Taurus
  14. My truck was ordered 4/12, built 9/16, shipped 9/18 with an ETA 10/9-10/15. I thought for sure mine would show up a couple weeks early since were in central MI, but I was wrong....still waiting. A week after shipping, Cyberdman didn't list any rail information, and a week ago, my dealer said it didn't show any rail info either. They must have just printed the shipping label on the 18th, and stuck it in the back 40. I hope it has left Kentucky by now, but I need to wait till after 15th to ask on here again, so I'll probably bug the salesman tomorrow. Wouldn't it be nice if Ford sent a $3500 PCO to anybody waiting more than 6 months? Maybe we should put that in the wish list section
  15. 2004 Dodge Cummins. Hope I don't regret selling it, gonna miss it
  16. I also thought a lot of people on this forum were a bit "extreme" wanting to track it down to the specific rail car, but I am also guilty now, waiting is hard, especially knowing it was built 3 weeks ago. Mine was built 9/16, shipped on 9/18 with an ETA of 10/9-10/15. I thought for sure it would show up well before that since we are in Michigan. From 9/18 when it was shipped, the tracker has said 6 days under the shipped tab, and the mach-e tracker lists it as transit date 6. Anybody know what that means? Cyberdman didn't list any rail information on the last track, and last week my salesman also said it didn't show any rail information. Maybe this means its been sitting in KY for 3 weeks waiting on a train?
  17. I didn't want to hijack the other thread debating halogen vs LED lights. Based on that thread, the overwhelming majority say LED is worth the money....but, for those of us with XL or XLT trims, its not an option, and for those of us reluctant to spend significant money on aftermarket LED light assemblies, I am wondering if anybody has tried upgraded halogen bulbs, or LED bulbs that fit into the halogen headlight? I realize any of these options won't match the factory LED, but have you tried them, and did they make some amount improvement? Edit... I just looked on Morimoto website, and see they have a hybrid headlight assembly for $1440. I think they look better than the more expensive ones. They must have just released them, says they are available for preorder, with a short lead time. These may be a viable option if they are truly a decent product
  18. I just looked at my ford pass app and upon bumping the map near the bottom, it just put the vehicle on the map, and I could drag it around. I was excited for a second after seeing the previous post! This would be a good idea for the wish list section....have a real-time tracker for shipped trucks. Would save a LOT of phone calls from customers
  19. Thank you! That's what I needed to know. Mine is the same truck, but with 7.3
  20. Looks like my truck will come about the same time we try to leave on a camping trip. I need to get a new receiver hitch and need to know the height of the factory hitch from ground, to the inside top of the truck hitch. A quick search here and other places turned up little info other than a tremor hitch, which mine is not. My truck will be a supercab, but I don't imagine there are any meaningful differences across the different cab configurations Thank you
  21. I would be very interested in the answer to this question as well. I'm expecting my truck to arrive any day now and I'll let you know what I think when it comes. My Xlt supercab will have 7 speakers I think. I drove a used 2017 a while ago with b&o in it, and it sounded good, but really nothing overly impressive to me.
  22. probably a long shot, but my 2004 dodge ram does this very randomly. It does the chime when it senses a lamp out. on my dodge, a turn signal bulb can be "partially" burned out for several months before it finally burns out for good, so everytime the filament temporarily disconnects, the truck will chime
  23. May I please get an update? Thank you so much, and hopefully I can post the picture soon! Order Code: 0412 Sales Code: F48534 1FT7X2BN8NEC60123
  24. I have utilized the long wait time for my truck to shop for used accessories. Last weekend, I made a 150 mile circle and bought a set of 18" Lariat wheel/tire takeoffs that I'll use as my winter tires (still had the pressure sensors too!), and I'll keep my chrome ones for summer use. The seller also had a new Bak Revolver x4s tonneu cover that he sold for $200 (he rejected it for a tiny chip out of a plastic trim piece at the end of the cover), and they sent him a new replacement and didn't want the damaged one back. I also found a Ford drop in bed liner for $50 along the same trip. I'm working on finding used custom fitting rubber floor liners, but no luck yet. These are the small advantages to getting a new truck that is several model years old. If they redesign in 2023, there wouldn't be any used things to be had
