  1. I am rather fond of a phrase spoken by the character Senor Manetta (played by the actor Adolfo Celi) in the 1966 film "Grand Prix," in which he says to Formula One race car driver Pete Aron (played by actor James Garner) "I have absolute faith in every car which leaves this factory." Right now, it doesn't appear that they do, but wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone in a senior management position connected with vehicle production at Ford, from Jim Farley down to the plant managers, lived, slept, and breathed this same mantra? I sure hope they will! There is too much at stake here not to.
  2. My mindset here was exactly the same as TwinTornados. When I first saw the topic for this thread, I thought it was about an F-150 or F-150's where they were unable to dial out all of the squeaks and rattles! Thank goodness it's not that! ?
  3. Oh, no! Another top executive at Ford with "Field" in his last name. This can't be good!
  4. As wonderful and fantastic as the Ford GT is, it is simply out of the price range for the vast majority of Ford fans, myself included. I've been wishing, hoping, and praying for years that Ford would come out with a worthy competitor to the Chevrolet Corvette, something in the same price range that could more than hold its own with the Corvette, from the standpoint of all the important performance parameters Something I could realistically afford, if not new, then a few years old, used. Ford doesn't offer anything like that to us at the present. But maybe, just maybe, things will be different this time around. They certainly have access to the engineering skills and talent to bring this to fruition, and I think there is definitely a market out there for it. Just my 25 cents worth! Thanks!
