  4. Looking to see if you would be so kind to provide any available information. F-250 Stone Gray Lariat Tremor VIN: 1ft7w2bn4nec45783 I’ll be sure to post my pic!
  5. When did you order and when was your original build date? Sounds like you could be driving your new truck in a few weeks! Congrats!
  6. Gulp... What was the costs of those repair bills?... Anything under warranty?
  7. So we are talking about the 7.3L use of an abrasive product meant to wear at lets assume twice the rate that the diesel would have. Even if someone towing 10K lbs everyday and had to buy 2 times more brake pads it doesn't add up to the premium initial capital or the long term emission system woes I've heard so much about so early on the adoption of "clean diesels." I take my bet on the old cast iron gasser. That's unless you need the extra high capacity towing of 18K to 20K loads. I would reassess based on my needs at that point.
  8. I think it may the later, as I asked him and he said he would send me the updated order then called me back stating he couldn’t because it had an VIN already. He didn’t even bother to look up my status when I asked him and only noticed it when he went to make the change…. Can’t cancel now, and I only really was going to addd the Rainsesne. Since I life in SoCal, not a huge concern or need. Thought the heated steering wheel would be nice when traveling to the snow. Thanks Ice
  9. Called dealer today said he would expect to see something around middle to lat September. called ford yesterday both confirmed the following Ordered - 7/2/2021 Scheduled to week - 8/23/2021 Vin assigned Order confirmed on Ford tracking website (not showing any production week or even if scheduled) Ford dealer said I could not make any changes because I had a VIN. Does this sound right? Who knows. Just counting the days...
  10. I spoke with Ford today and the very nice lady on the line answered a lot of questions about my order and where the status of my order is today. Ordered - 7/2/2021 Scheduled to week - 8/23/2021 Vin assigned Order confirmed on Ford tracking website (not showing any production week or even if scheduled) When asked if there may be any listed delays she said that there was some concerns about the Tremor 17Y option and the Ultimate Trailer Towing 53R. To be honest I thought she said 52R which is the stowable ramps. Not sure if anyone has any idea on if these are true and are they standing true. Seems like the schedule to week is no problem since I have both of these options on my order. Happy Waiting!!! Cheers MooseTremor
  11. I agree with most of the posts here. I have never owned a diesel but with talks I have had with newer diesel owners I have concerns about the long term reliability and the maintenance cost of the diesel and diesel emissions systems. Even though the 6.7 has been tuned and increased in torque every iteration of these engines a new emissions part seems to be bolted on to comply with the ever changing regulation landscape. Mostly for this reason I chose to stay away from the 6.7. Adding to that the power of the 7.3 is a big relief from the 6.2 which I believe to be an underpowered power plant for such a large truck. The 7.3 with the old school push rod approach and the cast iron block makes me feel that the engine while new has proven mechanics with long life spans. The added DEF needs (while not a huge expense) is just a little pain in the butt. I have now driven every engine 6.2, 6.7 and 7.3 in the 21 MY and I can say that the 6.7 is an impressive power plant that can't be competed with. I just cant justify the initial costs nor the excessive power. Personally the 7.3 is going to save me tires as I know I will be very tempted to stomp the skinny pedal on the floor to get the thrill out a truck that was meant to work and haul. If maintenance and upfront costs were not a concern for me, I'd be in it for the 6.7. I like all the creature comforts that the going with the 7.3 allows me to fit in my budget and figure once my warranty is up I can always tune or bolt on a supercharged giving me sizeable increases in torque and HP. Tune - Ford Super Duty 7.3L Gas V8 Gets More Power with a Customized 5 Star Tune (News) - The Fast Lane Truck (tfltruck.com) Supercharged: This Supercharged Ford Super Duty Will Blow You Away... Literally! - YouTube Headers and exhaust can also give you 20-35 HP too... There's a lot that can be done to this 7.3 that I think it makes it exciting and interesting to see what the truck community and tuners get out of these engines. I'm not scared of new, I'm scared of old getting modified to meet current standards that the engine was not originally designed to meet. TO each their own and hope everyone is enjoying their rides and get theirs soon for those on order like me!
  12. Agree it didn’t sound right to have a build week but no VIN, so likely not anything to buy stock in.
