  1. Got my Truck Tuesday cyberdman! This is one sick Truck! Thanks for your help earlier. As promised some photos! Moose!
  2. Would you be able to provide me any update on the status? F-250 Stone Gray Lariat Tremor VIN: 1ft7w2bn4nec45783 Thanks for what you do Cyberdman!
  3. Damn… where is Oprah handing out PCOs for everyone when we need them? I have put countless nights on fords websites. Please share the secret….
  4. Looking to see if you would be so kind to provide any available information. F-250 Stone Gray Lariat Tremor VIN: 1ft7w2bn4nec45783 I’ll be sure to post my pic!
  5. When did you order and when was your original build date? Sounds like you could be driving your new truck in a few weeks! Congrats!
  6. Gulp... What was the costs of those repair bills?... Anything under warranty?
  7. So we are talking about the 7.3L use of an abrasive product meant to wear at lets assume twice the rate that the diesel would have. Even if someone towing 10K lbs everyday and had to buy 2 times more brake pads it doesn't add up to the premium initial capital or the long term emission system woes I've heard so much about so early on the adoption of "clean diesels." I take my bet on the old cast iron gasser. That's unless you need the extra high capacity towing of 18K to 20K loads. I would reassess based on my needs at that point.
  8. I think it may the later, as I asked him and he said he would send me the updated order then called me back stating he couldn’t because it had an VIN already. He didn’t even bother to look up my status when I asked him and only noticed it when he went to make the change…. Can’t cancel now, and I only really was going to addd the Rainsesne. Since I life in SoCal, not a huge concern or need. Thought the heated steering wheel would be nice when traveling to the snow. Thanks Ice
  9. Called dealer today said he would expect to see something around middle to lat September. called ford yesterday both confirmed the following Ordered - 7/2/2021 Scheduled to week - 8/23/2021 Vin assigned Order confirmed on Ford tracking website (not showing any production week or even if scheduled) Ford dealer said I could not make any changes because I had a VIN. Does this sound right? Who knows. Just counting the days...
  10. I spoke with Ford today and the very nice lady on the line answered a lot of questions about my order and where the status of my order is today. Ordered - 7/2/2021 Scheduled to week - 8/23/2021 Vin assigned Order confirmed on Ford tracking website (not showing any production week or even if scheduled) When asked if there may be any listed delays she said that there was some concerns about the Tremor 17Y option and the Ultimate Trailer Towing 53R. To be honest I thought she said 52R which is the stowable ramps. Not sure if anyone has any idea on if these are true and are they standing true. Seems like the schedule to week is no problem since I have both of these options on my order. Happy Waiting!!! Cheers MooseTremor
  11. I agree with most of the posts here. I have never owned a diesel but with talks I have had with newer diesel owners I have concerns about the long term reliability and the maintenance cost of the diesel and diesel emissions systems. Even though the 6.7 has been tuned and increased in torque every iteration of these engines a new emissions part seems to be bolted on to comply with the ever changing regulation landscape. Mostly for this reason I chose to stay away from the 6.7. Adding to that the power of the 7.3 is a big relief from the 6.2 which I believe to be an underpowered power plant for such a large truck. The 7.3 with the old school push rod approach and the cast iron block makes me feel that the engine while new has proven mechanics with long life spans. The added DEF needs (while not a huge expense) is just a little pain in the butt. I have now driven every engine 6.2, 6.7 and 7.3 in the 21 MY and I can say that the 6.7 is an impressive power plant that can't be competed with. I just cant justify the initial costs nor the excessive power. Personally the 7.3 is going to save me tires as I know I will be very tempted to stomp the skinny pedal on the floor to get the thrill out a truck that was meant to work and haul. If maintenance and upfront costs were not a concern for me, I'd be in it for the 6.7. I like all the creature comforts that the going with the 7.3 allows me to fit in my budget and figure once my warranty is up I can always tune or bolt on a supercharged giving me sizeable increases in torque and HP. Tune - Ford Super Duty 7.3L Gas V8 Gets More Power with a Customized 5 Star Tune (News) - The Fast Lane Truck (tfltruck.com) Supercharged: This Supercharged Ford Super Duty Will Blow You Away... Literally! - YouTube Headers and exhaust can also give you 20-35 HP too... There's a lot that can be done to this 7.3 that I think it makes it exciting and interesting to see what the truck community and tuners get out of these engines. I'm not scared of new, I'm scared of old getting modified to meet current standards that the engine was not originally designed to meet. TO each their own and hope everyone is enjoying their rides and get theirs soon for those on order like me!
  12. Agree it didn’t sound right to have a build week but no VIN, so likely not anything to buy stock in.
  13. I am in the fleet ordering system placed my order for a F250 lariat tremor on 7/2 and called fleet today to check on order status. They could not provide a VIN but Ford stated that the truck was scheduled for production week 8/23/2021! I’m excited to hear this and hope it stays and is good news for everyone on here.
  14. It’s all about payload with the F-150. The airstream is tounge weight heavy and with my wife daughter and two dogs, generator fuel, table and chairs, WDH and tow tools in the truck I am maxed out or slightly over on payload. never had an issue pulling as of yet. Been over the grapevine and through the Santa Cruz mountains. Nothing in extreme heat yet, but never had any issues pulling. My F150 is only a 2.7L with a max towing of 7600. Gross weight in the trailer is 7300, but never even come close to maxing trailer weight, usually sitting around 6200 lbs. The 10 speed transmissions and the engine seem fully capable but long term towing and loading near the max didn’t seem like the best approach for my hopes to keep a tow vehicle for any amount of time… really looking forward to towing with the big boy. I have one more big trip this year and hope to have the new truck after it. hope that helps!
  15. From San Diego Here! Well I’ve made my order for a new Tremor Lariat Ultimate F250 7.3L. I’ve added some extra goodies but really looking forward to Adaptive Cruise, Ventilated Seats, LED lights. I’m interested in the discussions of Tremor Package, photos of other trucks, Ford production and my order status, the tunes and turbo adds to the 7.3L and really looking to see how, why or if to do any of these types of mods? What does or does not do to your warranty and what type of success have you had fighting or working with your dealers? I was a bigJeep Wrangler Overlander before it was cool and made some epic trips such as a trip to the Gros Ventre Wilderness for the Solar Eclipse and North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I have now journeyed into the Airstream life with my wife, daughter at age 3 and my two goofy boxers Ziggy and Zoey. Realizing that safety and responsible towing is a must with the family in tow and the exercise expanding of camping luxurious to haul along. I’m currently in a 2019 F 150 and looking forward to the extra truck as I continue my voyage down road. cheers to everyone and Hello! - MooseTremor
  16. Appears now the Lariat does not have the Tremor option same as with XLT. Hmmm
  17. Hey there! From San Diego Here! I love dreaming about driving my new F-250 Tremor hopefully soon. Just ordered 7/2/2021. Hope to get it before the new year. This shortage and crazy supply and demands issue is something else. It makes it tempting to find something on a lot but there’s not much luck there either…. Cheers to all the fellow Blue Oval Fans!
  18. I found this read. It provided me a lot of info that makes all of these threads more understandable. https://www.focusrs.org/threads/the-ford-ordering-process-explained-from-start-to-finish.908/
  19. I too am interested in if the XR is what the factory product was…. Also, would adding it to an order likely change or numb you in line?
  20. This leaves me some questions. Does a retail order through the COVP get processed faster than a fleet order? Does a fleet order get placed based on allocation or in blocks or what’s different between fleet and all other orders? Sorry for all the dumb questions, have have already cleared so much up. I obviously have a long wait ahead of me and really looking forward to this Truck. My wife is already annoyed with all my research to date prior to ordering. Now she has to put up with me anxiously waiting and accessory dreaming and researching.
  21. Got example what the difference between these two? 05/27/2021 - 2022MY Scheduling Begins (KTP) TBD - 2022MY Scheduling Begins (OHAP)
  22. Does anyone have a list of acronyms a newbie like I could use to help navigate these conversations?
