  1. I ordered similar truck, but with BAP which has the bedliner. Ordered one day later, and no, I don't have a date. It is amazing how many dealers still do the "you are not looking on the INTERNET are you?" (in the most condescending way). Yes, mine did that too. The x-plan rules and process is dictated by Ford, and is public information at https://www.fordpartner.com/partnerweb/jsp/howitworks/fordpartner_rules.htm . It's helpful to confirm at the beginning of the conversation that, "we agreed on x-plan, right?" Then you can ask the dealer about the x-plan rules. If they don't have them, you can pull out your copy and show the price protection, $100 doc fee, and that they need to show you the invoice. It's may be helpful to say, "i'm just trying to follow the Ford x-plan rules, as we already agreed". In that way, you are not negotiating with the dealer, but deflecting it to a negotiation between the dealer and Ford. At least that is the attempt. Good luck!
  2. You are the owner of the spray in bed liner installer for Ford. You have had orders for 50,000 trucks every year for the past 10 years and built your factory across the street from Ford and designed your equipment and processes to efficiently run at close to 95% capacity. This year the demand doubles due to "special market forces" that most likely won't be there in two years. Do you borrow, invest and spend a bunch of money to double your capacity now? If so, will you be running at 50% capacity in two years when the special market forces stop and retail orders drop? (BTW, running at 50% will bankrupt most any business). Do you try to partner with Ford for a short term boost in production or long term production? Does Ford try to bring in a bunch of short term businesses to do this extra work? How does Ford ensure quality of work with these short-timers? Even something as simple as spray in bed liners is not so simple at the scale that Ford is dealing with. And yes, I am waiting and waiting and waiting for my truck to be scheduled and I have not dropped the Blackout package with bed liner or 5th wheel prep because I want the quality job that the factory will give me. With more people dropping their spray-in bedliner to be done locally, this frees up production for my truck
  3. Same situation with truck on order. What I have seen so far from spy pictures is minor styling changes in grill and a other tweaks. The interior gets closer to the current F-150, but with the gear lever still on column. There has been very little speculation that pro power will head to the Super Duty in this update, but BlueCruise probably does (which does interest me). I don't know if Bluecruise will be active when towing, kind of doubt it, which makes it less appealing. Head over to FordAuthority.com for the best summary of speculation out there. The info on the 2022's came out in early March, and the previous year it was in April. When will it be this year? Don't know.
  4. See post from 1 hour ago on page 196 of forum 2022 Super Duty Orders & Discussion from Ice-Capades. It has a Ford email to dealers about the price increase and price protection. This should give you some leverage.
  5. Just wondering: I placed my order with a dealer that had just been purchased by a chain of dealers. Can a chain move allocations around between dealerships? Does the dealer priority set the priority for that dealer only, or for the larger chain? Corwin dealers in the PNW, is an example.
  6. The whole car making and selling industry quickly went from a "dealers sell stock items" to a "dealers order specific customer vehicle", and this has caused all kinds of issues to work through from ordering systems, to the mix of vehicles made, to changing the way dealers interact with customers. Someone moved the cheese! Successful dealers will have to work more and be more knowledgeable in the special order scenario. That's not the model that they (and Ford, and the customer) knows. So there will be problems and complaints. Some will get worked out, some won't be. It will be interesting to see if the industry reverts back to "do you want to buy this truck today" model? Probably will, as that is what the mass public normally wants.
  7. Another thought: You said that you received an "acknowledgement email". I never did. Just the approval a day later, and it was not obvious that it was an approval: Go back and see if your acknowledgement email was actually an approval email.
  8. I submitted on 9/8 and received approval a day later from "Xzfaxes, A (A.) <axzfaxes@ford.com>". Check your spam! I had met the 6 month time period and showed that I owned 100 shares in a standard brokerage account for that time. Don't know if they are that backlogged now, but it was pretty fast just 4 months ago. Would it hurt to submit again?
  9. What does below mean in relation to super duty orders? Ford found some more parts and will schedule a few more the week? SIMS? Balance to go F150, Super Duty, Transit Connect Van and Transit Connect Wagon SIMS orders have been created using commodities still available at the plant for this week’s scheduling.
  10. Earlier this year Ford was offering $1,000 rebate for those that ordered, ........ but that dried up a bit ago.
  11. same here. But i have a truck that works now. I feel for those of you that sold your truck, or it died, or wrecked, etc. You have a real need problem. Me, I want that black appearance package, and I'll wait a few more months for it.
  12. Has anyone heard of any success with PCO's recently with pop-ups or mail? There were a few expiring early Jan, but recently, crickets. Granted, Ford may not need to issue PCO (private cash offer, or exclusive cash offer), but if there are some, I'd like to try. If not, then I don't want to waste my time.
  13. So where are you making the connections: 40 amp upfitter wire or the battery, or?
  14. All of this is very true! Frankly, both will work just fine for everyone. 15. What is very nice is that the new 10 speed with 3.31 gears has a 1st gear that is lower than the previous 6-speed with 3.73, and ALSO has a top gear that is higher than the 6-speed with 3.31. So we can have our torque and mpg too! Its like having the old 3.31, 3.55 and 3.73 all in one transmission.
  16. what @road turtleis the same as I found. The 10 speed is a game changer and let ford put in a much lower 1st gear and a higher 10th gear compared to the 6 speed. Frankly, either will work fine with this large spread. If you choose the 3.31, you will have a lower 1st gear with the new 10 speed than the 6 speed connected to 3.73. Conversely, if you choose the 3.55 in the 10-speed you will have essentially the same overall top gear as the older 6 speed in 3.31 gears. For me, I like the lower RPM top gear cruising of the 10 speed in 3.31 gears, AND having better low speed power that this combo gives me compared to the 6 speed in 3.73 gearing. Put a different way, See below how the new 10 speed with 3.31 covers more than the range of the 6 speed in 3.31, 3.55, and 3.73 combined. 17. Have the Exclusive Cash Offers (Private Cash offer - PCO's) dried up in the past month? Seems like the chatter about PCO's is greatly reduced.
  18. Deal me in to the group, I've paid my ante! Let's see what cards I get dealt. v Along with ultimate, towing stuff, and a bunch of other items. First two dealers would not do x-plan, dealers 3 & 4 would, went with closest.
  19. Count me in as someone who is trying for a PCO, but no luck yet. It looks like many people received an emailed PCO in the past week. Has anyone recently seen a pop-up PCO in the past month? Do I keep trying to bring a pop-up by visiting dealer web sites in Atlanta, Houston, etc, or just focus on getting my info into the Ford marketing system to trigger an email or snail mail? We can wait a few months longer to order the F-350, but my family would love to have this whole thing done and ordered! Thanks!
  20. Good Day from Spokane, the people in this forum were very helpful three years ago during my purchase of a 2018 Focus ST3, when the dealer (Gus Johnson, if you ask) made a mistake with my order, and was more than a bit pig headed about listening to his customer. My tag then was Lee2020, and for some reason I can't reactivate that account. Oh well, on to a new one. Now the current project is to replace our 21 year old 2500 suburban that pulls our travel trailer. F350 it is! Thanks for you help everyone!
