  1. Looks like a re-vamped Mercury Villager... Probably a Mazda Ford collaboration.
  2. Just wanted to throw out some props for the KC Assembly Plant. Parked a 2012 F-150 Screw Lariat in Sterling Grey Metallic 5.0 in the garage 2 weeks ago and she is pretty sweet. Fit & finish is great inside and out, paint is great, I simply cannot fine a flaw and I am one anal person when it comes to looks of any kind of vehicle I own. Could not be more happy with its looks and how it feels on the road. Built Ford Tough. Thanks KC..... the truck you built sitting in my Garage is a 10.
  3. Well the BA Ford took a road trip this past weekend and my take is below. Very comfortable, Sony Stereo ROCKS, Blis is pretty cool, it even lets you know when you are riding in the lane with the Jersey Barriers. In small towns everyone checks you out, especially gang bangers scoping out your 22" wheels. Has plenty of power the 3.7 moves it quite well, carves 2 lane blacktop like a sports car, must be the P Zero's. Navigation works well, got us to and from the destination without any delay,, but it helps to have the correct address. Automatic wipers are sweet when you get sprayed by the car in front of you, climate control is sweet, me cool, her warm. Collects bugs like fly paper. And got 23 miles to the gallon on a 332 mile round trip as she rolled 1015 total miles pulling her back into the Garage. Yep The BA Ford....... Pretty sweet...... As they say and I will tell anyone who ask, Ford, Drive One.....
  4. Here are Pic's from Saturday.... Sweet.
  5. No pic's yet been busy, but will get some posted. Ride is great with the 22" wheels I must say i am surprised that it rides as it does. Handling is spot on with the PZeros, power of the 3.7l is also very good, this thing will turn on a dime, and stops as well on a dime.. Coming from an escape the wife loves it, spacious, My Ford Touch is pretty sweet, easy to operate, all phones are sync'd so everyone is happy. As for the rest, Paint is perfect, interior is a excellent match for the Sport Badge, wheels look BA with the black. Excellent Package. Fuel mileage???? too new to tell, but overall so far seems to be the same as the 09 Escape, that is until the driving becomes more spirited. As for the new escape, their would be no comparison for the 2, the 09 does not even compare, the 13 will be a completely different platform and vehicle so I can offer nothing more towards the new model other than it looks like a variation of the new Mazda CX-5 as was the last Escape models to the Tribute. Will try to post Pic's this week... Later.
  6. Well its here, took delivery on Friday, 22" wheel are big but look BA with the Tuxedo Black at this point both wife and I could not be more happy with it. Need some drive time to comment further. Its BA Ford for sure.
  7. Have one on the way, build date 2-28-12 dealer say 5-6 days transit. Cant say we are not excited to see it, Tuxedo Black... Have not been this excited since the days of the Mustangs back in 94,99 and 01. Hope its worth the wait.
  8. Checkout Cars.com, You can buy my 01 Zinc Yellow Coupe............
  9. I aggree on the 50 large, its a Mustang............ Mustangs are not worth 50 large. Until they come to us with tubular frames and tuned suspension, I dont care how many horses you put under the hood, its not worth 50 large. In my opinon, its sad that SVT got hoored out to Shelby, as we all know the name is whats marked them up. 40 large for vert with the shelbly stuff maybe. My 50 large goes to the dark side, where you are truly paying for true engineering in the form of the C7. Sorry SVT/Shelby......... from now on my performance bucks goe tot he dark side.
  10. We have just about 3000 miles on ours since we bought it March 3rd, first one the dealer had on the lot. Over all well put together, and well equipped for the price. Sirus is good, Sun roof is good, rides like a small SUV/CAR, good in the rain, gas mileage the same as the explorer, just a smaller fuel tank, so its really better, seats front and rear are very confortable, groceries and other goodies fit fine in the rear, fit a finish very good for the price. Looks, pretty cool, chrome front grill, looks like a baby explorer, compared to the last body style. As for the comments ive read about drum brakes, carpet and old motor technoldgy, the 3.0l is OK for me its a tried and tested drivetrain, yes it old but it provide the get to power and fuel mileage for us just fine, drums for rear brakes are fine too, I guess guys who want disc's are just afraid to change shoes over pads, realistically I think disc's would be a waste, the size of the vechicle doesnt,nt warrant them. and the carpet is fine, heck I cant see much of mine for the floor mats. Good buy in my mind, I would buy another if wanting another small SUV. We looked at the rav-4 the Nisssans, the santa fe, and went back to Ford. We like ours........
  11. Hey TransPower, Sorry for the delay been pretty busy............ Sticker is attached, I still think its a lot of SUV for the money........ Toyota or Nissan would have been 28-30 large for all these goodies. Been great so far too....... Sirus is the best thing Ford added as creature confort too, as far as Im concerned. Through my fleet guy starting price was $23,760.00 i think we got a deal.... any way here ya go.........
  12. If I may say, I have a Silver Metallic XLT with Sirus, Charcoal & Rust Leather, & Sunroof, sitting in the garage. My wife & I drove it Saturday afternoon and bought through my fleet guy at Sam Packs in Carrollton, Texas. They said it came off the truck at 10:30 that morning. I have read all the crap posted on this forum about bad brakes, drums on the rear, piss poor engine and all. I will say its is brand new, BUT, it is by far the best quality ride, feel, and well put together Ford we have purchased in the last 21 years, and there have been 7 of them. I will even say its better than our 2004 Explorer, quality wise. We even drove new Nissans and Toyota's and still came back to Ford. It it without question, the Oval is in trouble, nobody was at the dealer, pretty much us and all the sales staff was it, however, the the GT 500, loaded Focus, & King Ranch Super Duty sitting on the show room floor is some proof that they can still make a great looking, performing, vechicle full of creature conforts at a fair price better than anyone. Time will tell, but we are happy to this point with the new Escape, and the fresh look it brings to the line. Kudo's to you all in Kansas City......... This old ford guys thinks you did real good.
  13. I guess I found another passion on 2- wheels. You might fine me over on HDFourms.com in the Softail Section. Still have the Snake sitting in the Garage, as mint as the day it came home. Will probably make some teenager very happy someday when I decide its time to let her go. Right now I cant, I get her out about once a month, but it seems when its nice, Im on the back of that new Harley. B)
  14. Merry Christmas To All. May all remember the reason for the Season. B)
