5. This really isn't relevant to the agreement though it is a testament to the people at STAP J.D. Power and Associates on Thursday released its annual survey of vehicle dependability based on questionnaires sent to owners of 2006 model-year vehicles. Large Car: Highest ranked: Mercury Grand Marquis Runners-up: Buick Lucerne, Mercury Montego Large Premium Car: Highest ranked: Lexus LS430 Runners-up: Lincoln Town Car, Cadillac DTS Now you know what you get when you invest NO money and throw your product into fleet only. If they had a category for fleet we would have been on top of that to. FORD you can say thanks by taking 40 more hours of my holidays and $30 a month co-pay and whatever else was in that bull shit agreement Your welcome adding the Ranger from that other plant they want to close: Midsize Pickup Highest ranked: Ford Ranger
6. Anyone know when they are picking the next target? Been listening to the TV but so far I've heard nothing.

OAC News

I know you folks at OAC got your $3600 in Jan did you also get the 1700 at that time aswell? From what I understand your holidays run Jan to Dec ours are from July to June. Thanks
8. With all do respect. Ford would have made a profit in 08 if the economy hadn't tanked. Now I'm not saying some sorts of concessions aren’t warranted considering the extreme downturn in the economy but the GM deal stinks. In 2008 I collected $870.00 from E.I. or the equivalent of 2 weeks. So far this year we’ve been down 3 week since the beginning of 09 and I believe we have 5 more tentative down weeks between now holidays in August. Not all that bad considering how bad things are out there right now. They name the replacement for the Taurus the Fusion so they didn’t have to build it in Atlanta. Then they name the replacement for the panther the 500 but didn’t have the balls to tell us. Then still trying to kill us they named the 500 the Taurus hope the public wouldn’t notice that their $13,000 Taurus was $35,000
I’ll quote someone from another thread I hope he won’t mine but:

When someone wants to kill you most of us would try to fight back. Pre-tax results from continuing operations were a profit of $736 million, an improvement of $669 million from the same period in 2007. This included about a $900 million improvement in automotive operations profits, partially offset by lower profits at Financial Services http://seekingalpha.com/article/73987-ford...call-transcript
9. Well…Yes I am to a degree. I work at STAP. We just went to 1 shift about 2 years ago and are giving up tag relief when we return to work Monday March 23. 100 more PPL gone. I also don’t like the fact they extended the contract another year when almost every economist is saying the economy will improve Q3 09. So when things start to turn around and the company is making Billion in 10, 11 and 12 will we have the right to reopen the contract, I think not. We are clearly in a different potion then GM. We’ve been going through this since 2001. GM clearly didn’t do the things necessary to right the sinks ship before the economy tanked. The Obama admin just gave police forces across the US 18bn dollars. What portion of the will go to Police Units? STAP maybe one of the only plants running without much/any down time. At a time when we are giving up a lot of our time off. I wasn’t attacking the Union the way you think that I was. If you know anything about me you would have never made the statement you did. That was my point in my original post. It was not intended to be an attack against the Union.
10. How long do you think it's going to take to get back 80 hrs of vacation time? How about $2.00 an hour? We give up more holidays and we loss more ppl? Is that what you want? I am far from an ungrateful fuck, Ford has given me more then I could have imagined. Whether you like it or not the point is all “stakeholder” should be forced to give not just the workers. BTW $50.00 out of every check I get goes into Ford stock can you say that. ASSHOLE
11. I don't know if anyone has noticed that in of the recent aggreements we haven't taken a hit in our base rate of pay. We give up 80 hour + 1700.00 and the union gives up NOT 1 CENT. Same with the gov that is still asking for more from us. I'll lose almost 5,000 dollars and my benevolent leaders don’t give up a dime. If I gave up $2.00 an hour for 40 hrs X 52 week = 4160.00 but if we did that the union would lose $5.00 a month. Hows that for brotherly love. FUCK NO BONES
12. If you missed it you can find it here CNN
13. Till Obama takes office. We know he supported the loan. After all it is in Fords interest to keep them afloat.
14. it means they are giving you $3500 for 120 hours of your vacation time
15. YES! The hall was full, holds about 1500 ppl. alto of retires. I left right after Buzz SPOKE he was their as well as Stafford the economist, it's a first, Pushing this hard on STAP IMO. Wasn't there for the discussion portion so hope someone will fill me in on the rest.
16. Not true... New hire rate is effective apon ratification
17. Thanks to George Bush I've been given about a 15% raise over the last year just with the fall of the U.S. dollar. Which mean I cost Ford 15% more than I did a year ago. I was shocked we never got hammered 3 years ago. And I think most of you where as well. I for one am sick of all the outscourcing and job cutts. Stap has built the same model since 92 i believe and every 6 month we're in another balance out. We need to be more competitive than we are without outsourcing ever job out of the plant. While Ford has a ton of cash on hand they haven't made a profit in 5 years and since our last contract has lost more than 30 billion dollars. This is a shitty deal for all. Ford and EE's alike. I think Ford would rather be making money hand over fist then closing 1/2 there factories. I'll vote YES and live to fight another day. I HOPE
18. OK so the question is will ppl that returned to STAP after moving to Oakville be given there original seniority # back? That question was posed to Scott after it was determined there would be a run-off. His answer was he would have to look at the documents that the ppl signed at the time of their transfer. Now this has been going around the plant for about 2 to 3 weeks and that is the answer he has? WHY your running for the most powerful position in our leadership and you wouldn't give a direct answer. I didn't vote for either tucker or smith in the first round. I don't really know either of them. I was never impressed with the way Whitey dictated, yes I said dictated to the leadership. In a place like this I understand the need for strong and confident leader but in his leadership he didn't like descending views and would often shout ppl down when he didn't liked what they said even when what was being said was 100% correct. Just like Scott tried to do to a female co-worker who's only question was "How much seniority do you have?" He got quite animated, began raise his voice and attempted to belittle the person. This should in NO way be considered an endorsement of Tucker because I have never spoken to him or seen him on the floor campaigning. I don't know where he stands on any of the issues facing our plant? Which doesn't impress me a whole lot. In my opinion the best candidate is already out!
