skittet150
I have an 04 FX-4, 5.4 liter, and it makes a whistling sound at a certain RPM when it is very cold outside. I wrote earlier about a belt noise when it is damp out. It goes away sooner or later. Sometimes it it will do it for the whole trip into work. Like I said, though, only at a certain rpm. Anybody else have that problem?

Anybody else have that problem? are you sure its the belt? Sounds like the air intake. Maybe the housing wasn't put back on properly at your last air filter change. Anybody else have that problem? What RPM are you talking about? My 99 5.4 makes a similar noise around 1500rpm. Its been doing it after the last time I cleaned my throttle plate (2 months ago). If you noise is in the similar rpm zone as mine, I would suspect vacuum leak or the housing is pinched somewhere. I'm turning my radio up and waiting for spring time to fix it :reading:
