I found this tidbit of information from a documentary that aired over in the UK Great Global Warming Swindle just this week. It seems that the CO2 and temperature fluctuations shown from ice core data differ about 800 years with the CO2 lagging. In other words, the increase in temperature causes an increase in CO2 levels not the other way. Big Al and his followers are blowing smoke (CO2?) up our ass trying to make us believe its the other way around. Look at one of the latest charts. Climate Change: New Antarctic Ice Core Data

The vast majority of scientists agree that GW is a huge problem and that humans are the cause of the warming trend the Earth is going through right now. You just have "faith" it doesn't exist just like people like you had "faith" that Saddam had stockpiles of WMD's..

Your debating skills seem to be lacking. Much like RJ you argue the point but have no knowledge of the subject.

Obviously I have more knowledge than you on this subject, I don't claim to be an expert in climate science, that's precisely why I take my information from experts in the field, not pundits and shills.

 

RJ is only angry with me because I have been as consistently right as he has been wrong.

 

 

It would be one thing if you were right about the stuff you argue about him with, it's the way you go about it that turns people off..

I hope Blue Blood reads my original post (438 I believe) and returns with an answer without links. Logical thinking and drawing conclusions based on policy is a reasonable question I believe.

 

I do not even want to change his, or PLANETS, and/or Methos minds, I am reasonably sure all of them are good people.

 

I am just asking that IF they can eventually prove their case, they insure that they work towards fixing the problem, instead of leaving it screwed up by transferring polution; that will be now UNREGULATED, to other parts of globe while thinking they have actually done something of use with their time on this earth.

No "the vast majority" don't, there are as many or more who disagree but your side immediately dismisses them. And NO we are not the cause. You have bought it hook line and sinker. We only contribute a small amount of CO2 compared to natural sources and that is a FACT. And as far as that goes CO2 is not the major component of greenhouse gas, it's water vapor.

You see, that is a lie. Glaciers have expanded AND contracted for thousands and thousands of years. It only looks like that when you limit your time frame to when you want make a point.

Humans cannot stop global warming, and they cannot cause global warming. We do not know whether Saddam had WMDs. Maybe we do. Define a WMD. Prove that I do not have any. You can't.

Wind energy will not fly. Tidal and geothermal may have possibilities, but they will not run a car. Most new houses in my area are mostly brick, cement and siding. Not too much wood is used. Trees are growing much faster than we are cutting them down. The car companies are working on alternative fuels, but ethanol instead of gasoline is impractical. Maybe the researchers are drinking too much of it. Good old C2H5OH. I'll give you a few clues. It has its head up its ass; it believes that it is Royalty; and it needs others to tell it what to think. What is it?

The job I have now I will cease to have March, 16. I will start a new job again at Virginia International Terminals on the 19th. Guy called me up out the blue and said somebody was retiring, and remembered the interview I had with him way back in October and could not leave Ford. It will put me close to what I made at Ford when I worked production, with arguably the same benefits. What a blessing for my family. I sure am happy about the opportunity.

As far as censorship goes, don't give them any ideas Tony, they might just be smart enough to run with it.

That is very good news! You must have made a nice impression for him to remember you over that much time. That would not surprise me. I am really happy for you. Do you know specifically what you will be doing there?

Not only is Hampton Roads an awesome place to live and grow old, there are still job opportunities too. The economy is truly amazing. Kudos to good city leaders all around there. Even Portsmouth has improved alot in 20 years.

This place where I am at is a stark(in some ways a dark) contrast from our area of Virginia.

I've been in Cleveland a few times. Parts of that place looks like Iraq. It also seems as though poor working class neighborhoods are everywhere.

From where I am living now is about the distance from the Norfolk plant to Elizabeth City.

A place called The Flats was redeveloped since I moved to Virginia in 1986. I haven't been there since I have been home, but I am told it is trashy again.

I can't imagine something like that being permitted back home. The citizens, Virginia Pilot commentors, and morning radio talking heads would have pounded the city leaders straight out of office.

A friend at work said it got so bad he quit taking his wife to The Flats for dinner. He said the rift raft was libel to make comments to her while they walked down the street. Can you imagine the city of Virginia Beach tolerating that crap at the oceanfront resort area? To Cleveland's credit the area around the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is pretty nice. Still, there were 119 murders in the city last year.

Even though this town I grew up in where I am now living is just a sleepy little town on the coast of Lake Erie, I'm doing everything I can to return to Virginia after retirement.
