Pontiac to drop GTO after '06 model year

No surprise here. The Monaro was already discontinued after the '05 model year. Holden wants to clear out the GTO so they can build more Commodores on that assembly line (they no longer share the same platform).

 

Even if the GTO sold relatively well, chances are it woulda been axed anyway to please Holden.

Our local Pontiac dealer still has 7 '05's and 2 '06's. I find this hard to believe but I hear some dealers still have unsold '04's.

 

I know I'm the odd man out here but I like the GTO. If I wasn't such a tight wad I'd buy one.

I hate to admit it but I would take one (minus those silly looking hood scoops), they are practicaly giving them away these days.
