I believe they wanted to crush it just because they could. Knowing a few of them, Russians that is, they are probably sick of anything Japanese. That and if you know your naval history, the Japanese beat the Russians on the sea everytime the Russian Navy went up against the Japanese Navy. So maybe a tiny bit of retribution? kevinb120 Posted December 28, 2007 Share Posted December 28, 2007 (edited) It said in the post it was damaged in transit so they can not sell it as new so they tend to just crush them as a write off. The right side is clearly damaged with rust on the paint scrapes so it obviously wasn't from that day. I sell tons of used Lexus's to Russian wholesalers who export them. They are like gold there, perceived 'close enough' luxury distinction without being blatently unreliable like a German car, same as here.
