  1. Heh, I was going to go back through the posts to see if he ever got the reason WHY nobody knew the answer on the Flex in the first place.
  2. I guarantee I could stop by Chuck's place of business and figure out a question to ask in about 1/500th of a second he doesn't know the answer too. I bet I could go 100 out of 100 questions.
  3. I owned a gen3 RX7 TT and want nothing to do with the RX8. Its a decent platform, but the rotary needs to go. It does not make enough power without turbos, and with turbos they have very short lifespans. What would work better is the Mazdaspeed3's motor or the upcoming ecoboost V6 and dump the gimmick under the hood....
  4. Well he could of invested in sub-prime lenders, looked like a good idea 2 years ago.... These days under-the-matress sounds like a great idea
  5. This was the same argument made in 1971, 1976, 1986, 1994..... If you want a Hyundai, go buy a Hyundai and STFU.
  6. It just may outweigh the curent 'slade :shades:
  7. I would think a Flex hybrid, available in a service-duty version as well for Taxi use would make sense. The Taurus gets pretty good mileage as it is right now. The Fusion needs to be enlarged a bit before dumping a ton into hybrid hardware, its a bit of a squeeze in them. Maybe we can get more batteries by making some domestically, hell we can use Al Gore's (very dirty)Zinc mine on his farmland..... One other thing people never mention is CNG vehicles that Ford/GM have in fleet service in cities though. They have full size vans and Crown Vics. It gets no attention in the media even though it is being used now, and is much cheaper to fill up then gas. I've driven a few CNG diesel truck conversions before, its not a bad setup.
  8. This is why there are links.... http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...p;f=35&id=2 And the AP is trying to push legislation for exactly this reason to shut down blogs unpopular to them and the waining MSM. http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/ap-to-bloggers-chill-out/
  9. When I sold the GT(40)'s, the first few that payed 100k+ more were 'car in a bubble' types. The enthusiasts came out the 2nd year and payed a reasonable amount over sticker, $30-40kish. This is not a McLaren, Bugatti, or the like-I don't even consider it as exclusive as the GT, this is based on a production Chevy. The true one-offs deserve stupid money. I don't believe the GT500's are worth the initial insanity either. Most people with big bucks are quite shrewd when it comes to spending it, unless its 'new money' i.e. lottery/entertainers/sports figures.
  10. Its a beautiful interior, matching or bettering its competitors. The MKZ interior is not THAT bad, but a few places could of really been improved. Most of it is items like the door handle plates with the visible hardware access covers, the lower console, and the like. Although, the fit of the pieces is very tight, and are all in the engineering, why they don't tighten the gaps in the fusion/edge panels is beyond me. A few clicks of the mouse on a CAD program before sending it to tooling would of fixed everything. As for styling, its always subjective, with an open mind the MKZ interior is decent by design, if you like it is completely subjective.
  11. Actually, the new lower facia on the 09 looks much better. With those wheels sourced from the 03 Euro package SVTF, it doesn't look bad at all.
  12. A fool and his money are soon parted. You would think eventually that these idiots would realize that there is no modern car that is going to go up in value.
  13. I would consider Honda good at dragging old technology along better then anyone else, but innovative?
  14. Ford should buy them back! Its going to turn around fast now.
  15. Disposable temp workers? Do the US automakers have an option like this?
  16. They're too low? Modern automotive diesel engines put out less pollution by nature then gas engines.
  17. I have yet to understand what consumers find in Toyota. They've only made two good cars ever, the first-gen Celica GT and the 89 MR2 supercharged.
  18. Well, duh, Toyota sucks. As for Hollywood, the day the 'big one' comes can't be soon enough. Hopefully it breaks off and makes its way to China to complete the cycle.
  19. That's because they only make 3 vehicles in different wrappers. As for the Fit, they are only made in tiny quantities as was said, 2 available on a lot is fully stocked. They really aren't seen that often on the road around here.
  20. Well it was that time of the year for Enterprise to replace inventory...This is one of the top 3 auto markets in the nation, and I have NEVER seen a Journey on the road. Although down the street they are pretty much all Chryslers and Toyotas
  21. That interior won an award with Wards, I think best compact-suv interior.
  22. Camo or not, WHO are they worried might take some it's styling cues? And another vehicle that should already be on dealer lots....And of course Ford doesn't bother to bring the 40mpg diesel for inexplicable reasons again.
  23. That horseshoe badge is obnoxious!, even GT"s get stuck with it. And I wish we had some friggin flex's
