  1. How much longer? Just the usual 6-8" as it was on the L versions. Remember, if this vehicle is gonna be used as livery markets. You must make sure some of your passengers who are disabled are able to get in and out of them easily.
  2. An extended wheelbase version sort of like the old Lincoln Town Car L's would warrant a serious consideration for a new car. I'll hold off on the first year models as the usual bugs have to be worked out I guess. But still is not a bad looking car. The overall passenger sedan market needs something like this. Something roomy, comfortable, has the power to boot!
  3. A tree embedded in a Town Car grill. Another reason why I'll keep buying them. They are indestructable most of the time. Anything else, the car would have been split in half!
  4. Please do not get me going on "millenials". Some do work just as hard and are trying to do the right thing. Like we done in the past when we were their age (18-34) But a good majority of them are overgrown babies and I'll leave it as that.
  5. Whoops...we built a little too much (production), now we have quite a bit of unsold inventory, so we need to increase the "sales". Yeah, that sounds more like it.
  6. I have no reason to buy a Prius, they are just too small for my needs and the cost of maintaining them long term, as well as licensing and insurance. Plus, getting into an accident in one. Ahh, no thanks. I want to walk away from one, not be extracted out a sardine can. By the way...That Volvo has got to be an early 1980's model. Too young to drive then...HAHA
  7. Just seems as though the Taurus; if it were just a few inches wider on both sides. It would be darn near perfect. It's got plenty of head room and space. Don't get me wrong... But it's that space capsule type seating with that yuppie cup holder center console that really turns me off to them. I prefer either a bucket seat type seating where you can install your own custom console or just going back to a classic bench seat. (as an option of course) Remember, not everybody likes the limited options offered on these newer vehicles.
  8. Yeah, I think $62,000 for a top of the line, decked out new F-150 is just a tad overboard. So are the suckers taking out 6 & 7 year loans on them... I'll settle for the XL version with manual windows, bench seat (if they still make it) extended cab w/ 8' bed. That's all. Thank you very much.
  9. Head room: Taurus. Leg room: Explorer Take your pick. Personally, since I'm old school. Make seating options available involving power/non-power bucket seats and or bench seats. Also: Eliminate that space capsule type seating with that ridiculous cup holder console in the middle.
  10. The front end of this looks like the "Predator" creature (without the fangs). Toyota: Making ugly vehicles for how many years now?
  11. This whole forum is boring anymore. Nobody even posts anything in the long mlhm5 thread in the Ford discussion forum anymore. Too many stories and articles with too few replies taking up too much bandwidth. You guys really need to clean out a lot of the clutter.
  12. Looks good, but those oversized ghetto like rims have got to go. Those make it look hideous.
  13. When I'm ready to sell my Town Car, I'll get a few custom made silver or chrome vinyl decals that say "Continental" and affix it to certain areas of my vehicle. The name alone will generate buzz and excitement over a nostalgic name indeed. Might help with the sale!
  14. If I was in the market for one, I'd lay down the bucks to buy one. Especially over a Taurus.
  15. Pretty freaky and I saw pictures of that actual accident online somewhere, and to tell me how this guy lived with the steering wheel bent in half in a couple of those photos is beyond me.
  16. At least the guy ain't plugging a Toyota! Any celebrity who dares even comparing a Toyota to the likes of any Ford, Dodge or GM truck is basically asking for it.
  17. The Old Wizard said he gave up on the Lions a long time ago... The question here is how long ago. My answer was when they fired Gary Moeller 15 years ago. This team stinks. Always have and always will.
  18. I still can't figure out why 35% of the people in this country, or 39% (depending on what poll or whatever) continue to support Democrats and their failed policies. But then again, the 2 party paradigm is failing this country period. I'll take the Nixon years over the last 6 we have suffered through anytime, even the Carter years... I know, I'll hear it from the older crowd. But face it folks, things are a lot worse as a whole in this country now with everything in general.
  19. I warned people of this high-tech gadgetry on these newer cars numerous times on these forums as well as just talking to people directly and nobody seemed to listen then. I just don't see any beneficial use out of it except to aggravate the driver. That's my opinion.
  20. The more electronic gadgetry I see on these new cars, the less likely I am to buy one. It's simply not worth the time, the money, nor the hassle to deal with them long term down the road. Ridiculous. People need to get a remedial course on how to drive a vehicle WITHOUT POWER STEERING!
  21. One can question the timing of all of this, knowing full well most of these defective parts were installed under the old "GM" before bankruptcy; and you can also question the coincidental timing of how the government no longer has a majority stake in ownership of the new "GM". One thing for sure in my opinion... If a class action lawsuit of this magnitude is presented, who's liable? And if the current GM has to pay out? Who pays? I will say this though. GM will not survive another bankruptcy, and should not be given another life raft. (bailout) under any circumstances.
  22. I guess the answer to your question just got a response... What else do I have to say about it? :fan:
