02MustangGT
It is refreshing to see an article that doesn't completely slam the U.S. brands while praising the Japanese brands. I really think Ford's plan is working, the decrease in fleet sales in 2007 and 2008 will eventually pay off. Yes, Ford's market share will decline again this year, but should stabilize within the next couple of years.
goblue93
If everyone reduces fleet sales, where will the cars come from? They can't all be Hyundais. There is still fleet demand to be met and no one wants to meet it moving forward.
ptsweeper
My last three rentals have been a Taurus, a Taurus X, and a Fusion. Fleet sales will still be a major portion of sales.
Former Ford ZM
I travel for work. I have seen (old) Taurus rentals phase out and Sonatas and Camries fill in their place. Louisiana makes it easy for them spot out, they get commercial plates. What's Toy's fleet percentage, like 10%? Out of Camry numbers thats like 40K units out there...
