  1. Your "typical" luxury buyer isn't buying right now because they're cautious right now. The other "typical" luxury buyer is all over-leveraged with all their other debts that they used to go to the HELOC ATM for.
  2. How about an Advantage Plan for those of us that boughtfinanced before this economy tanked and are in now in the hole? Just curious to know how long will it take for Ford Credit to repossess the car since I can't pay it this month? Anyone ever have luck with getting FMCC to defer payments?
  3. Haha, anyone notice that there is a Transit Connect behind the photag. You can see its reflection in the building glass in a couple of the shots.
  4. And just think, nowadays these two plants run at full capacity and build two different types of vehicles. One makes money for Ford Motor Company, one doesn't....
  5. More like the Fit, Yaris, Versa, Rio as well as Aveo, and where's Chrsyler's offering? to compete with this guy. Gotta wonder if this guy will be pitching it though: <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3c7dONn9cNo&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3c7dONn9cNo&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
  6. Oh ok, I was going to say, those renderings are waaaayyyyy old. We saw that stuff and a model back in 06 man.
  7. Why does autocosmos.com have a watermark on Ford renderings?
  8. To be technically fair, the B cars like Yaris, Fit, Rio, Versa are indirect competitors. As a dealer would see on their Top Five by Segment Report, that would be one of the "Ford Does Not Compete In This Segment." In my conversations with some dealers, they're praising the Focus and about how quickly they're turning. The loaded up and most importantly, Sync equipped ones are moving strong. The ones without Sync are a bit of a push. Dealers have been asking if Ford will come up with a way to retrofit Sync into non Sync models across the board to help move those off the lot.
  9. Richard I do believe there have been many times that KTP has cut down shifts. Also, where did you hear that the Transit Connect would be built stateside? I was pretty sure in SOTF in 06 Kuzak said it was to be imported.
  10. Your pic doesn't have the spoiler on it....
  11. Yawn, not surprised. I had a Ford dealer who also owned an Isuzu store. He once showed me an email from his Isuzu rep who was blasting him for selling 20 vehicles one year. Yeah, 20 vehicles in a whole year. The place sold 20 Fords on a good Saturday. I remember how happy he was to get rid of an Isuzu pickup that had been on the lot for over 2 years!
  12. I travel for work. I have seen (old) Taurus rentals phase out and Sonatas and Camries fill in their place. Louisiana makes it easy for them spot out, they get commercial plates. What's Toy's fleet percentage, like 10%? Out of Camry numbers thats like 40K units out there...
  13. Unfortunately when you produce for the masses, similarity is going to happen. I see the 09 everyday on the road....a little bit Lexus, a little bit Acura, a little bit Toyota, a little bit Honda and gasp a little bit Chrysler.
  14. A $67K USD wagon....yup Ford will sell a ton of these in NORTH AMERICA....
  15. It's probably a good thing considering Toy's incentives are still on the lower end. And don't forget, the manufacturer makes their money as soon as the vehicle is built and shipped off to the dealer, not when the customer finally buys it.
  16. What's with the ugly Super Duty chin spoiler, this thing isn't a brick too is it?
  17. I'd say LATE quarter. As in these will trickle in by December. It will really be next year that they're in full supply. That's what I would wager. However, I would be joyfully delighted if these are "Ok to buy" in early Q4 and by December there are somewhat ample supplies out there.
  18. Because they were delayed because the rear end was sent back to the drawing board. It was originally to be out this summer, then sent back after the leak and scheduled for '10. However near the end of last year the push got the program moved back up again. Then at the beginning of January it was announced it would be a late Q4 release as an 09.
  19. Yeah does look like part of the Toy sombrero. Hmmm.. What could it be....OH MY WHAT COULD IT BE!?!??!
  20. F-Series has EARNED its reputation over decades and hence why a loaded up F-450 will run you in excess of $70K. Much like Camry and Accord have earned their reputation as cars and command a higher price than their domestic counterparts.
  21. Hmmm oval logo...maybe it's a KIA???
  22. Wall streets continuing hardone and servicing for all things Toyota. Motley Fool sez that Toy will be the comeback king for 2008. http://www.fool.com/investing/high-growth/...the-bounce.aspx
