FordTrucklover
Nobody nd i mean NOBODY ive spoken to around DTP has expressed sincere interest in this latest round of buyouts..yes, the educational incentives are attractive nd generous i guess but the lump sum offers for most part are a joke!.......the company is reaching here nd hoping to get its #'s instead of just offering $140-160 nd actually GETTING the #'s it really WANTS so they can quickly get there 20% of low paid workers in the door...................I WOULD take buyout if they offered @ least what GM offered higher seniority ppl ($140k). How bout anyone else??

How bout anyone else?? Oh I've already said my piece on the 140k. I would be gone ! But as SAP says lets be real here. Ford and UAW have been screwing this ACH thing up for better part of what ??....7-8 yrs ?? Through fear, indecision, decision and redecision, incomplete info(ask Tulsa) and plain dragging their feet, we are left with this crap. In our fantasy world, that 140k would clean out all the prod and trades needed to get their #'s. But no it's more fun going to the dentist. There , now I am awake....pass the java.....and not the Saptain kind.

How bout anyone else?? I hope no one takes the buyout this time around, especially the older employees. Time is getting short for Ford to reach it's supposed goal of employee reductions and I think it'll get real interesting if few or any take the buyouts now. If it's a real concern for Ford then we'll see what's really the plan...if not then none of us is no worse off than before the buyouts were announced,we'd all still have our job and life goes on. Putting a wrench like this into mix would make Ford do what it intends to do more sooner than later and that I believe is to move as many jobs out of the U.S. as they can eventually. Westside
Buy outs have reached the peak.......There will be no higher incentives. This is it. We can complain and try to push a agenda here like ($250,000 each) but they will not increase. The American public sees us as a bunch of spoiled kids and the media portray us as overpaid cavemen. We will not get anymore sympathy. This is it.......... What ever happens after this round of buyouts will surely be painful if we do not reach the numbers needed. I am riding out the storm...... Good Luck.
