mnmustang
I did search the archives but if there were suggestions, I missed them, sorry . . . My 2008 Bullitt came w/o a traditional spare tire (instead an inflation kit). I'd feel better if I had an actual tire back there, just in case. I'm not rich ($800+) or OCD enough to need a spare that matches the other four tires & wheels, so would even be happy with a scrawny temporary spare or a basic tire on steel rim (if they even make them anymore :-) I'm working from an assumption a Mustang wheel pattern is the same for all Mustangs, so wouldn't any wheel fitting an '08 Mustang work for my Bullitt too? Curious if anyone has a lower-cost suggestion for a spare? Thanks, Scott

Thanks, Scott Hi Scott. :D If cost is a consideration, here is one option: Call several Salvage Yards in your area and ask if they have any late model Mustangs in their Inventory with unused temporary spares. If they do (which they probably will), purchase a temp from them. Just an idea. Good luck. :beerchug: Edited August 17, 2008 by bbf2530

NickF1011
Would he not need a spare from a Mustang with 18" wheels? I think the overall tire diameter is still the same, whether you have the 17's or 18's. The only thing I would be sure to look out for is whether the GT's/Bullitts use different spares than the V6's in order to clear the larger brakes. Ah, good point! I wonder if the reason why the Bullitts don't come with a spare, is that the factory mini-spare will not clear the brakes? Far as I know, the only brake difference between the Bullitt and GT is the front pad materials. Spare from a GT should fit on a Bullitt.
