Van Dyke posting

Ford's gotta be real careful with the job postings!!!

If they would of added the 3rd shift in Lima and brought in 175-350 people then now they would need to layoff 1 shift and lets just say that would not be a pretty site!!! Paying 30K to 175-350 to move then laying off 350 to JSP would of been a waste of $$!!!!!

Look at Oakville, they added a 3rd shift then 1 week later cancelled it!! WTF

If they are going to pay someone to move they better have it right!!!!!

Its been cancelled, you might want to put in for the AAI postings, great working environment great stupid-visors great everything. :hysterical:

AAI sucks ass.

Nothing like calling line time at 3 oclock every day, standing there with your lunch box in your hand and waiting for some idiot that you can barely understand announce if you can go home or have to stay 2 more hours.

Try scheduling your family around that stuff.

Also there is nothing like working 50 feet from a guy who can hold day shift with 2 years less seniority then you but you have to go to afternoons because you were placed in a "unit" that has higher seniority...

Nothing like working on an afternoon shift that doesn't start until 6:54 PM everyday.

Nothing like working in a Plant that will not pay you short work week when they decide to short shift you even though the National Agreement states that you are supposed to be payed it.

God forbid that you bring something up like this to the people around you also, because all you will get is that "THIS IS THE MAZDA WAY AND IT IS THE BEST WAY!!"

AAI sucks ass, the majority of the people are more worried about what YOU are doing and why YOU are leaving 2 minutes early...

Those are just a couple things I have picked up on in the last couple of months.

At least the jobs are easy compared to other assembly plants.

You forgot the one where they eliminated our weekly meetings in order to make more cars WITHOUT having to pay out overtime! That's our union here at AAI. Wonder what they got in return???? :banghead:

You bring all your time with you unless you have earlier then I think 1984 then you can only bring from that date to present. Something like that, not sure on what date is used. So if you hired in 1980 you ca only use 84 so you lose 4 years of plant time not Ford time, you always have your Ford time.
