tincup2b
about 110 for KTP and 46 for LAP When did the sign up period Start/End? We at KCAP are still waiting our turn. Any idea when we might get a shot at signing up?
KTPT
When did the sign up period Start/End? We at KCAP are still waiting our turn. Any idea when we might get a shot at signing up? Sign up began around beginning of August and ended Sept. 26. I don't believe KCAP is being offered buyouts. Don't ask me why, I have no clue. Pioneer
I don't believe KCAP is being offered buyouts. Don't ask me why, I have no clue. Probably because Ford doesn't want/can't afford to pay one person to leave the company, then have to pay another person from another zone to take their spot. Tennesseepowerstroke
When did the sign up period Start/End? We at KCAP are still waiting our turn. Any idea when we might get a shot at signing up? The sign up window in Memphis PDC ends October 31, 2008. Memphis was not listed on the websites but the buyouts are available there. bleu
Probably because Ford doesn't want/can't afford to pay one person to leave the company, then have to pay another person from another zone to take their spot. We were told that the UAW is funding this "last and final" round of buyouts. Not Ford.

ellu369
We were told that the UAW is funding this "last and final" round of buyouts. Not Ford. I know some UAW people that took up a collection to sweeten the pot for a few hanger onners. LOL. There is no way the UAW is buying out its own membership. You need find some new "sources"
ellu369
about 110 for KTP and 46 for LAP The Chairman at KTP reported that 163 people took the buyout at KTP. A few are Skilled trades but the vast majority of them are production classifications. I havn't heard any numbers for LAP.
Tennesseepowerstroke
We were told that the UAW is funding this "last and final" round of buyouts. Not Ford. We were told the International UAW fought it tooth and nail. They want to hold the numbers where they are. As everyone knows the money would be coming from the retirement fund.
