Mark B. Morrow
http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/10/24/o...p-behind-obama/ Advisor Charles Fried actually requested the McCain campaign remove his name from the committee listings because he now intends to vote for Obama. Len_A
Add former Rhode Island Sendator Lincoln Chafee to that list (And McCain campaigned for Chafee in Chafee's unsucessful reelection bid a few years ago). And former Michigan Governor Bill Milliken withdrew his endorsement of McCain.

RangerM
Rats off a sinking ship. Or, as Thomas Paine described them, "Sunshine patriots". They occur on both sides. It should be very interesting to see how many clarify their position when McCain wins.

From what I read the electronic voting machines are registering his way. It is a sad situation to live in a country where you can't trust the elections. Without a paper ballot to recount all you have left is a corrupt machine's tally.
goinbroke2
Every US election I watch in anticipation to see who will win. This time I'm actually nevous. I don't really like either candidate. Or put better, I don't like where the states is and where it could be going. A new face and idea's in the same party or another party with socialist tendencies and an ulterior motive? It's the economy stupid! Whoever wins better not only fix the imediate problem of the economy but also put in place rules/laws/regulation that ensures this can never happen again. Fix the trade imbalance with regards to VAT in other countries, fix the blatent porkbarrel spending, fix the health system, on and on. It's like watching superman on his knee's, very sad. England once controlled 3/4's of the earth or something like that, and now? An island off of europe. If this was 100 years ago I'd probably be rooting for them I guess. And don't underestimate how horrible one human can be to another. I saw first hand in a couple places (yugoslavia in 92 for example) of how one time neihbors turn on each other because of their ethnic background and not only killed each other, but tortured each other also. Your civil war should be lesson to you when it comes to american against american. If this isn't handled properly, it could get very ugly in a few years time. You don't need left or right, you need middle-of-the-road to get back on your feet! Go USA!
