2018 Explorer shown
Mark B. Morrow replied to jasonj80's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
I will probably be in the market soon as my '06 creeps toward 150,000 with its attendant repair needs. I don't really see anything here worth waiting just for the '18. I will still miss the opening rear glass which I use all the time in my current Explorer. -
http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2016/05/25/does-lincoln-zephyr-trademark-mean-return-to-real-names/?intcmp=obnetwork The filing says Ford seeks to use Zephyr for "motor vehicles and parts and accessories therefor." That could mean a new car — or just parts. Putting the Zephyr badge back on the MKZ is the most likely bet. Meanwhile, Ford also moved to get the Thunderbird trademark on May 11 for the same vehicles and parts purpose, and it filed for the Mustang trademark for shampoo and lotions on May 4. Mustang shampoo?

The creator of Shoe Jeff MacNelly had a '59 DeSoto of his own. The 1959 DeSoto car that is regularly featured in the comic strip is a depiction of Jeff's car at home. The real one may have had as many troubles as its cartoon nemesis. http://www.thecartoonists.ca/Index_files/2002pages/TC%20-%20Jeff%20MacNelly,%20Political%20Cartoonist%20and%20Creator%20of%20Shoe.htm
