littletimmy
Why are we still negotiating with the company if they have pulled out of the loan program? Mulally said that if we used the loans he would take $1 a year in salary so if we use the money will we then give concessiions?
fordworker
Why are we still negotiating with the company if they have pulled out of the loan program? Mulally said that if we used the loans he would take $1 a year in salary so if we use the money will we then give concessiions? Because Ford is still LOOSING MONEY They got $ now because they have a line of credit. If they dont turn a profit then all our jobs will be gone soon. Get your head out of the sand Ford is still in deep shit Ask yourself this, While Ford is still loosing $ daily how in the hell are they gonna pay into the VEBA?? Answer is there not They cant at least they cant anytime in the next 3 years anyway and even then they may not be able too How is GM gonna pay there $ 30 billion there not

Critic
Because whatever Chrysler & GM get, Ford's going to get rammed down their throats. So they might as well negotiate too. Right now doesn't really look like there going to be no negotiating anything if Mr. WORTHLESS ASS Bush makes them go thru "managed bankruptcy." 3 accounts for you? Hopefully you'll be running out of email accounts soon.

feegsit
Mulally could work for free and it wont help ford 1 bit!! We all know whats gonna happen! it sucks but its gonna happen if Bush gets his way!! Hourly could work for nothing as well and it won't help. All these low interest loans etc. won't mean chit ,you can't borrow money if you don't have a job. The only thing that will save the economy... is getting a half a million people back to work. Getting people back to work is key to our survival. The bailouts are a temporary fix until washington decides to get off their asses and do something about the unemployment rate and lenders who got bailed out but still not lending any money because they spent it on $400,000 vacations and payed out dividends.
