Dfisher
At Sandusky, we keep hearing stories of Ford employees signing up to transfer here. If true, I have a few questions. #1 - What happened to the " once you leave ACH, and go to a ford plant, there's no coming back - irrevocable " clause that was repeated over and over by the union and the company? #2 - We keep hearing tales of transfers being open to everyone; not just those in ILO. Can this be true? Can someone who is working transfer out when someone on ILO just flaps in the breeze? #3 - If a person transfers to Sandusky, how is their seniority levelled? We've heard it different ways. Thanks for any replies; I'm not wild about us being kept in the dark. Everything is a big secret here...... Everything is a big secret here...... #1- Ford is trying to place laid off workers so rules changed #2- If a plant has people on ILO then its open to everyone at that plant, cause if someone working takes transfer they replace with an ILO(well suppose to replace) #3-Not sure about rules on that

Everything is a big secret here...... #1 they will have no RTBU rights to Sandusky, it is only a temporary loan. Their homeplant remains OHAP. Y'all should be happy that Sandusky is even taking ILO's from Ford, and laying temps off to do it. ACH is not Ford, but a subsidiary, and is under no obligation to take in any Ford employees. Their plant manager could say "Hell No" and let you remain on ILO until you have no more SUB,TAP or recall rights. If you want to pick a fight, ask where the new bodyshop/product is. If Ford had followed through then no one would be on ILO!
fordworker
if u go to sandusky or brook park u will go there as a TEMP thats it. your seniority is going to be 8/24/2009.. this was put in at these 2 plants only because sandusky is closing or being sold and BK is closing the foundry and the uaw and ford dont want to bring in transfers who would bump out existing employees.. but if the laidoff people turn it down then there 26 weeks start and u dont want that... Everything is a big secret here...... lets try and clear some things up here before it gets too ugly... #1 They are opening up Sandusky as a temp opening and anyone in Ohio can sign....it is a temp opening to allow those on ILO to return to work. The reason it is open to All of Ohio is some of those in Lima came from Sandusky and would like to come back, the reason it is voluntary for those out of zone is some may be on ILO weat of Lima and they do not want to force those members way out, but allow those closer the opportunity. Thank you Sandusky for allowing ILOed employees an option. It is tough to put out those long term temps, but it is the right thing to do in the short term. Hopefully when things pick back up the UAW will force Ford to pick these Long term temps up. Thank you to all who have helped out Sandusky. #2 Yes, the reason being is one who transfers out will be replaced with one on ILO...hopes of those who transfered from Sandusky to allow the to come back even if it is temp and if not then it will allow those on ILO the opportunity to keep working, so no not flapping in the breeze...again there is nothing in the agreement that allows Ford employees to go into ACH...thank you Bob King! #3 They will be temp employees loaned to Sandusky with one leveling date and tie breaker being Ford seniority! Nothing secret, just agreed upon for Sandusky and most details were worked out with the Saline/Sheldon transfers. Hope that helps! Sandusky group seems like they know what they are doing.....keep it alive and make the decision for Ford to sell a tough one. Nice job guys!
