otaku
my 2010 focus with auto transmission is driven mostly in the city and is still very new (2000 miles) getting between 22-26mpg which isn't bad certainly better than my fusions 16-22 and it should improve as the car is broken in (I hope)
OldFordJim
I just bought a new 2010 last week. Automatic and mostly city driving and so far, I'm averaging 21 mpg. I'm sure it'll get better as more miles get added.

fordtion
2008 SES 15,000 mile on it. Run only non-ethanol gas getting 31-33 mpg running in 45 and 35 mph zones, several lights on the way to work. Long trips, 37-39 mph without A/C on most of the time this winter. Last summer was about 1-2 mpg less and it was hot weather.. Note: all driving was normal take off, but run 60-70 mph out on the open road. focus05
2005 Ford Focus ZX4 SE auto. Almost exclusively hard city at this point and about 22mpg. On the highway, I'm typically at 30-32. I am in a PZEV state, though, and my parent's and brother's past and current Focii got/get a bit better mileage than mine does.

OldFordJim
I just bought a new 2010 last week. Automatic and mostly city driving and so far, I'm averaging 21 mpg. I'm sure it'll get better as more miles get added. It is now 9 months after I originally posted and now I'm averaging between 26 and 27 mpg, about 95% city driving. A couple of times, I've averaged as high as 27.5 mpg.
