I'm in the market for a Boxster and hope to have one for a summer car next summer. I was surprised that a Focus could do better on a twisty road course than a Boxster. The Boxsters I'm interested in are in the MY 2000-2002 range and colors I would consider are red, yellow, or blue. The regular Boxster of that era has 2.7L flat six with 217hp and S had same hp as Boxster of this era. I'm trying to find one that has new IMS shaft bearing that is more robust than OEM part. They sound so sweet when the revs come up and they corner like a gocart. Once you get by the $100 oil changes and 60,000 mile service lights that will run you about $1500 to turn off, the vehicle is pretty reliable and minimal to run in the summer months with the top down.
