How long does it take to ship out, how long is it on the railcar, how long is it in Gallena park waiting for the dealer to get it? Haven't been on here for a bit. Here's an update on mine... Called CRC on 5/24 and they told me the car was built on 5/18 and released from the plant on 5/22 (now in transit).ETA of 6/5. I called the dealer to ask him to email me a copy of the VVR (which he did). It confirmed everything CRC told me and showed that it was at Ramp 51 (in transit) with an ETA of 6/5 (4 days earlier than last told). I am gonna get my dealer to send me an updated VVR tomorrow. If I remember correctly, Ramp 51 is at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant meaning that your vehicle has been released to the carrier but hasn't left the plant property yet. Unfortunately, your vehicle may be at the plant for a while yet as Ford has been especially cautious in releasing Mustangs for shipment unless it's convinced that there are absolutely no quality concerns. Ford has consistently held Mustang vehicles for additional quality testing as CEO Mulally doesn't want any vehicle reaching dealerships that may require additional work prior to delivery to a customer. The end result is that Ford is ensuring that vehicles being delivered to Dealers and customers have passed all quality tests, etc. While any delays are frustrating, be assured that when your vehicle finally arrives at your dealership it's passed all quality tests. Awaiting Shipment Origin Received - D20 (Autoport Limited ) Ramp 5P, Flat Rock, MI May-31-2011 ETA Jun-15-2011 This is the status of my car as of Tuesday. My car has a priority level of 01 since thisis my second order and my first car which was supposed to be here May 7th was destroyed in shipping. So yeah i have been waiting since January and they better meet the dam timeframe I'm told this time!!!!!!!!!! My order was placed on 7 March and the unit was build on 18 May. I told my salesperson that I am coming of age as a baby boomer and that there will be thousands of guys like me (Veterans and retirees with money) coming down the pike in the next 10 to 15 years, many of who would love to have another Mustang before they die, This alone could provide a significant marketplace niche for Ford and that a little more attention should be paid to those willing to pay cash upfront for these cars and that proper priority be given to expedite these possible future orders. It's so funny you should say that. I wanted one more Mustang--this is number 4--getting all the bells and whistles and will be paying cash. My dealer has been giving me the run around and not telling me Mustangs are having issues with delivery. It's been on order now for nearly 3 months. At first, I was told 6-8 weeks--reliably. Now, I have a vin, and I've found a window sticker online--but I have a feeling I can't trust the delivery date they gave me. I could not figure out when someone spends this kind of money on a car why the dealer will not call me back with dates. The reason is because all of this hold stuff is going on. By the way, this will be my second 'stang (1968 289 performance) to go along with 2 previous Camaro's (1970 Rally Sport 350 and 1973 Z28). When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location. 3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt. 4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is) 5. When prompted for next car say DONE. 6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report. Union Pacific 1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123 2. Follow phone prompts for Trace 3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together 4. The guy on the Raptor forums said to just use the prompts because they may lock it down if people start calling and talking to a person. I just called and mine is in Benton as of 8:07pm. These updates are very updated. At 6:51pm it was leaving Salem. I called 1-800-235-2352 Hit 1 for location Spoke ETTX Then typed in on the phone the 6 digits railcar number. Spoke Done. The guy on the Raptor forums said to just use the prompts because they may lock it down if people start calling and talking to a person. I just called and mine is in Benton as of 8:07pm. These updates are very updated. At 6:51pm it was leaving Salem. I called 1-800-235-2352 Hit 1 for location Spoke ETTX Then typed in on the phone the 6 digits railcar number. Spoke Done. Then it tells you the location last recorded. So once we get the cars, we need to meet at one of these local car shows. I called Canadian National Railways and talked to a person. They had no problem giving me the info i was looking for. I got the info immediately after giving them the railcar number. I'll call that number above you posted (different from what i called) and give it a try. Thanks. And for sure, we'll have to meet up and sport our new rides.
