svtenthusiast
On Escapes that were built March 8, 2012 through June 7, 2012, there is a delivery hold because of improper pad placement under the drivers side carpet, and trim panel on center console. Mine was built in this range, held at the plant, adjusted and then delivered late. May be why there is a backup on these.
MKII
JULY 6, 2012 Transport Canada has released its latest recalls, which may affect some Ford models. Ford Units Affected - 2,193 Escape 2013 On certain vehicles, the carpet padding in the driver’s foot area may have been installed incorrectly during vehicles assembly. This would cause the carpet and center console trim panel to be slightly closer to the accelerator pedal than originally intended. As a result, the driver may shift his/her foot slightly to the left of the designed position and, when transferring the foot from the accelerator to the brake pedal, may inadvertently contact the side of the brake pedal. This could cause a delay in brake pedal application, which could increase stopping distance, possibly causing a crash resulting in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will remove the carpet padding and replace the left-side console trim panel.

LSchicago
I ordered a loaded Titanium model on 6/28, the dealer is telling me it will take approximately 12-14 weeks for delivery. So ours probably won't arrive until September.
BORG
So ours probably won't arrive until September. You might as well wait until September, they will probably have inventory by that time.
LSchicago
You might as well wait until September, they will probably have inventory by that time. We ordered on 6/13, because the dealers never order exactly what you want. Always seems to be $1,000 in things you dont want, with key things you do want missing and always the wrong color. LSchicago
Dealer Called, our Titanium is in! Under 5 weeks from order to delivery. That's a record for me. I've waited 5 months for an F550 before.

LSchicago
Car was built on June 5th. No clue when it will be delivered. Yours was probably affected by the carpet pad recall....
