silvrsvt
Anyone know how much weight can be supported by the roof racks (with cross bars) on a 2010 Escape and the 2013 Explorer? I've seen 100 lbs for the Escape, but haven't been able to find anything on the Explorer, which will be likely our replacement for the Escape down the road. I need the info for mounting Kayaks
carguy
The same for all racks on Fords. 100 lbs evenly distributed on all 4 rails.
spotdog14
My 2008 Expedition has a weight limit of 200 lbs. LUGGAGE RACK Your vehicle is equipped with a roof rack for transporting items on the exterior of the vehicle. The maximum recommended load to be carried on the roof rack is 200 lbs (90 kg), evenly distributed. The cross-bars can be adjusted by using the thumbwheels at each end. Use the tie-down loops on the thumbwheels to secure load.
Edstock
My 2008 Expedition has a weight limit of 200 lbs. Great! So I can take somebody through a car wash. I just have to use an Expedition. Thanks, I didn't want to remove that from the Bucket List.
