nmadole
I am taking my 2013 in for tint today, figured I'd start a thread for the tint on your fusion topic. I will be getting 20% on the front and rear widows and 5% on my back window... (I have a reverse camera) Pics to follow tonight
-Strike-
I had mine done at 35%, as I drive a ton at night, and don't want to lose too much more light. Looks amazing in person. Going to pick it up within the hour, may have a few "in showroom" pics to add later today.
Lateron
I have an appointment in the next hour to get my tint added. I wanted the darkest possible (5%), but don't want to deal with any law enforcement issues. I may just go with 20% all around. and take my chances.
vincep5
I was also considering this. How much is the cost for the entire car generally speaking?
txtenor
Got mine tinted a couple of days ago...went with the legal limit here...35% on the sides and 20% on the back...which is plenty dark when you live in the Pacific Northwest overcast zone. I haven't gotten any pics yet since it has been raining almost steadily since I picked her up...will try to post some soon.
-Strike-
Here's a few shots from this morning when I picked mine up. Gives a view at a few different angles. Overcast, and in the show room with the 35% all around, nothing on the windshield.
nmadole
Very Nice, I am still waiting for mine... it has been 4.5 hours and he is not even done with half the job.... slow

txtenor
Looks good...very much like mine...I am glad I went with the 20% in the rear, though...would have gone with 5% but not interested in attracting any additional attention from the guys with the red and blue flashing lights :-)
nmadole
I'm getting nervous... had a company start my tint job at 10AM this morning... Called him at 2:30pm and he was just finishing the rear windows... still had the fronts to go... 4.5 hours to do the back window and two rear windows seems pretty slow... I am going to pick it up at 4:30pm... hopeing its done and looks good...
txtenor
And some pics of mine...35% on the sides and 20% in the back...nothing on the front (per state law)... image by texastenor, on Flickr image by texastenor, on Flickr image by texastenor, on Flickr image by texastenor, on Flickr

nmadole
I am so pissed, tint guy did a terrible job on my car.. scratches in the tint, uneven rear window lines... What should I do? He did so bad I dont even want him to fix it....
-Strike-
You're going to have to take it back and tell him just that. Get him to remove it and find someone else if he feels like he cannot do the job. Mine for the most part looks great, only a couple streaks that will dissapear soon, no scratches or anything. So it has to be his fault ;/
nmadole
Took the tint off myself today ( I didnt trust the guy to touch my car again)... I have already contacted a Tint shop that I know I can trust back down state.... - Removing tint wasnt that bad... used a steamer, some 409, trash bag and about 5 razor blades... Burned my wrist and sliced my finger open.. but I am back to stock

jchris67
What is the range of cost to get the fusion tinted? I am debating getting mine done...from the pictures it looks pretty sweet!
nmadole
I will be paying 219+ tax... That includes removing the rear deck so the tint goes to the actual bottom of the glass. Lifetime warranty
jchris67
Okay, cool. Not a bad price. Thanks for the info. I will have to look into it more!
-Strike-
Mine was around 300 ish out the door, lifetime warranty too.

Mine was around 300 ish out the door, lifetime warranty too. Mine was $300 plus tax with warranty...same as -Strike-...seems to be pretty standard pricing for these parts (Seattle area) Make sure to do some homework and find a place that has positive customer feedback available. Or better yet, find someone who has had it done and has had a strong positive experience.
jchris67
I talk with my dealership...$249 with lifetime warranty. I think I am going to get it done. I looked at the pictures you guys posted and think a black hybrid would look much better with tinted windows.
