nmadole
I looked at the headlight assembly tonight... and have no idea where to start... Any suggestions? Remove the front bumper?
B8BB8B
You will more than likely have to remove the headlight to get to screws / bolts on the lower side of the headlight. I know that was the easiest way on my 2010.
Chris1970
There is a current recall on headlight assemblies, make sure you are not on the recall list before wasting your time.
nmadole
Nope it's not listed on my ETIS
neod192
I wonder if any of the hybrids have the headlight assembly recall. When I looked up the VINS from my dealer it seemed to not affect the hybrids.
akirby
Depends on when they were built.

flatlander
My dealer said the front bumper has to come off.
Zoomzoom5
So many of the newer models require a complete removal of the bumper, grill, and sometimes engine covers to get to the headlight bulb. Many times at my work we have to turn these cars away and send them to the dealer to just have a headlight bulb replaced. In some cases, there are plastic push grommits that have to be replaced that we don't carry...or the trim will fall off! We learned that one the hard way a few years ago. Sigh, I'm glad, for now until she dies, that I can replace both bulbs in my Protege in about 3 minutes. No disassemble required! For those who want to tackle this on his or her own...beware. Get a schematic of the front end of the car...you may not have to take apart as much as you thought (or a lot more than you thought). Good luck and God bless! dbmaven
My dealer said the front bumper has to come off. To perform the recall work the bumper does have to come off.
