terraformer
I've heard that the 2015 F-150 will have LED bedlights as an option, and that's great! But I also think the reduced power consumption and light output of LEDs make them a considerable asset for wherever lights are used. They last longer to boot. NickF1011
The transition is slowly occurring. There are cost considerations to take into account as well though. They are still considerably more expensive to produce than incandescent fixtures.
YT90SC
And considerably more expensive to replace when they fail.
probowler
I always think it's funny when I see brand new vehicles or newish vehicles with dead factory or aftermarket LED lights. I usually blame the Chinese. They're nice though, Hopefully they work out the kinks and get these into mass-use.
fireman9027
I definitely like the LED look
BondMan007
I love the LED lighting in my 2010 Town and Country. I too wish this was a standard or at least non-titanium level feature.
Darthsnipe
LED lighting is quite possibly one of the greatest innovations in lighting technology due to its low power consumption. It saves your battery if you accidentally leave one on. Price is still a concern though but hopefully we will start seeing more liberal use of LEDs in the near future and drive the price of the LED down a bit.
