Judge Sentenced to 28 Years in Prison for "Selling" Kids to Private Prisons

You were pretty wound up and it wasn't the tone but the message that did it. It's cool to be passionate but you straddled the line between that and too much.

I don't remember electing you as the "Too Much" Czar.

I guess since so many, like you, like to decide for others, I can declare myself the, "You Make Too Much Money" Czar.

There shouldn't be a lot of concern. I probably will never assert my authority.

Are you suggesting that any of those are bad laws? :hysterical:

Been busy. Sorry.

Government doesn't need to involve itself in such minor matters. I lived for many years without seatbelts or airbags. My kids used to ride in the back of my pick-up. They loved it. When I was in The Dominican Republic, I saw families of four on a motor scooter; no helmets. I was on a bus which had a TV for the driver to watch while driving so he wouldn't get bored. I would get rid of drivers licenses, vehicle registrations and license plates as well. Driving a car is not hard. You don't need a license to prove you can drive a car. If you are doing it, you must be able to. I don't have any other of my possessions registered with the government. Why my car? I don't want to have a license plate with a number on it which can give my personal information. If I have an accident, I will not be going anywhere. The worst distraction on the highway is police cruisers, even if they are not there, you are always looking for them. That is probably the cause of most accidents. It is not a good idea to do other things when you are driving, but not serious enough to make laws against it and pay cops to enforce them. I have been driving 45 years without an accident. Accidents happen, but the odds are in your favor that they won't. Wasting billions in unnecessary law enforcement will have a worse impact on the economy than the odd accident caused by someone talking on a cell phone while driving. People need to have freedom; not have their every move watched by some sneak hiding behind a telephone pole. People are brainwashed to go along with any freedom sucking law that the government can dream up. Enough is enough.

Police shouldn't have new cars. They are too rough on them. They should drive used cars, and firemen should also be mechanics who can work on police cars when there is no fire for them to put out. Savings would be in the billions.

WTF?

You realise that currently Canada has 13 deaths per 100,000 vehicles while the Dominican Republic has 140?

And really people are distracted looking for cops? The last thing drivers are distracted by is the police. They shave, put on makeup, text, watch videos, read newspapers, have sex (there's websites devoted to this) and a half dozen other things but I haven't been in a car where the driver is frantically searching for the po po.

You realise your theories are seriously f***ed up right?

Look, planet Trimding works on different physical principles. Kinda like one of the worlds of Charles Stross' "Laundry" series. :)

I'll take the higher risk in exchange for freedom. Under our current system, we have runaway crime high up while they crack down on nothing "crime". The biggest criminal is the federal reserve and the banks. Next is the supreme court and then the federal government. Then you have organized crime and Wall Street. These criminal organizations operate with impunity because of the way the system is set up. They should get rid of laws that punish innocent people and protect criminals. Instead, they are making more such laws. Government can print money and give it to non-productive people to ensure their votes. How corrupt is that? This will eventually ruin the country. They know this, but staying in power is more important to these criminals that are supposed to be working for us. What would the death rate from automobile accidents be if nobody was allowed to drive because they were all in concentration camps? Zero, but I would not want that life. North Korea probably has a low crime rate. A sterile existence with government watching your every move and preventing you from doing anything dangerous is not any kind of life.

Concentration camps. North Korea?

Now which SC is that? Yours or mine?

Gee, thanks for the compliment. I am trying to warn you about the potential dangers of Big Governemnt and all you can come up with in rebuttal is personal attacks using four letter swear words. I guess that concentration camps are just figments of my imagination. They don't exist. North Korea, the socialist Utopia doesn't have them either. Every time the government comes up with a new law, no matter how well-intentioned it may seem to the indoctrinated, they take away a little bit of your freedom. Meanwhile the real criminals continue to operate unopposed. There are problems that we face that are too minor for the government to get involved because their involvement creates bigger problems and expenses than warranted by the original problem, and more government intrusion means less freedom. If you think that this type of thinking is "off the wall" then you are what you said I am.

Why would I say anything else. The US is not becoming North Korea nor is it formulating concentration camps. As for warnings, I thimk we're good without them.

The U.S. is following the European model, which they fought a Revolutionary War to get away from. Germany, before WWII was as civilized as any country. It can happen. First step is disarming the civilian population. The government is rabid when it comes to gun control. What happens if there is an economic collapse, and the U.S. dollar becomes worthless? That is well within the realm of possibility in the near future. Will the government fold if there is widespread insurrection, or fight back? Where will they put the conservative prisoners? I think that we need to shrink government before it is too late.

Will the government fold if there is widespread insurrection, or fight back? Where will they put the conservative prisoners? Probably in conservative graves. I think that we need to shrink government before it is too late.

The federal governemnt is rabid about gun control.

Who was collecting taxes fron Americans before the Revolutionary war? The Chinese? Why did people leave Europe to come to America? Because they liked Europe?

Interest rates are near zero. Why is that? What happens if they go up to a normal rate, say two percentage points above the inflation rate? Economic collapse? What if they go to two percentace points above the real inflation rate? Collapse of civilization? What is the result of keeping interest rates artificially low, all the while printing money which causes inflation? It is like blowing up a Dollar Store balloon. What happens when the balloon pops? The government has been in desperation mode for some time now. The president goes on TV, boosting the ratings of the mainstream media and keeping them from blowing the whistle, while the real media's warnings fall on deaf ears. Interesting times are coming. Don't get caught flat-footed.

The federal governemnt is rabid about gun control. Which Federal government? The American, the Canadian or some other?

Who was collecting taxes fron Americans before the Revolutionary war? The British Crown through its representatives and government. But then again, you already knew that, didn't you? Does the phrase "No taxation without representation" strike a chord? The Chinese? Why did people leave Europe to come to America? People have been coming to North America for approximately 500 years now. Times change, and people's reasons change. For example, early American settlers were non-Anglicans, leaving England for religious freedom. Three hundred years later, the Irish arrived in huge numbers, because of the Potato Famine; they were after a square meal. But you already knew that. Because they liked Europe?

Interest rates are near zero. Why is that? What happens if they go up to a normal rate, say two percentage points above the inflation rate? Economic collapse? What if they go to two percentace points above the real inflation rate? Collapse of civilization? Just like in the early 80's when interest rates zoomed to around 20%, we all coped and survived. Remember? Or were you on planet Trimding? What is the result of keeping interest rates artificially low, all the while printing money which causes inflation? Most of the money hasn't been printed on paper, but exists electronically. It is like blowing up a Dollar Store balloon. What happens when the balloon pops? The government has been in desperation mode for some time now. The president goes on TV, boosting the ratings of the mainstream media and keeping them from blowing the whistle, Blowing the whistle on what, exactly? while the real media's warnings fall on deaf ears. Interesting times are coming. Don't get caught flat-footed.

You have absolutely no clue do you? Greenspan used to raise interest rates to cool off the economy and prevent inflation. Now, the government has so much debt that they can't do that any more, so they are keeping interest rates artificially low, and borrowing/printing/creating digital money that "isn't worth the paper that it isn't printed on". This is what is keeping this phony economy running for the time being. They are buying time to figure out their next move. The last depression ended after World War II. The whole thing is caused by government manipulation of the free market.
