jeffegg2
Ford has promised to install EV charging stations in employee parking lots per news release. Does anyone know of any plans? Anyone seen any of these?
chuck734
MAP home of the C Max Energi and Focus Electric does not have any employee/public charging stations. I asked around and nobody seems to know why the factory that makes the EV vehicles doesn't have charging stations for employee and public use. Maybe this news release is old?? Do you have a link? Ford supply's a map of public EV stations in MFM but none of their factories have one that I can see. Strange indeed. I bet the glass house has them and their not public!! Funny how other company's are going green and installing these but Ford is not. http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20130731/AUTO0104/307310019/1148/auto01/Japan-automakers-team-up-add-EV-charging-stations Edited July 31, 2013 by chuck734
wildosvt
I don't think they "promised" anything. I recall that they were going to look at it. And it would depend on the ee take of the vehicles.
hotcarl
If we had charging stations at my plant, I would buy an electric focus without a doubt.

mnm
Ill bet my right ear, there is no way there will be any of these charging stations in any of the hourly lots. They'll all be for the salary "employees". But lets hope Ford proves me wrong.
Pioneer
The service will initially be free to employees for the first four hours. So, after 4 goes, is somebody going to relieve me on my job so I can go move my car?
BlueCollarWorker
I love this idea and would purchase an electric car if Ford had a charging station that I could use at work. I would pay for the service of charging my car while at work. I pay at the gas station now...
Langston Hughes
So, after 4 goes, is somebody going to relieve me on my job so I can go move my car? I thought that was called break or lunch.
