George Robert Landrum
2012 F350 SD towing 5th wheel, when I pull over at a roadside park and shut the engine off from under the hood I hear a clicking sound for a few seconds then a sound like the engine is over heated come on. The temp gauge shows normal, doesn't smell, sound overheated, take the radiator cap off, no steam. Starts and runs normal, no sounds until I stop again, same reaction. Anyone have experience with this scenerio?
akirby
What do you mean "sounds like the engine is overheated"?
J-150
Is it a diesel? Are you giving the turbos a chance to cool down before shutting the truck off?
