geronimo183
This must be hurting Ford really bad, how do they aim to progress and improve with such financial losses coming from regular recalls? How does Ford compare with other manufacturers with their recall rate? http://uk.reuters.com/article/2015/04/29/uk-ford-motor-recalls-idUKKBN0NK1J720150429 http://money.cnn.com/2015/04/30/autos/ford-fusion-recalls/
coupe3w
Come on this is the first time for bolt corrosion issues on steering parts. The bean counters don't know bolts corrode.
akirby
More likely the supplier messed up the coating or provided the wrong bolts.

Secondly, it appears that two of these recalls are due to supplier furnished parts (see the other topic on this recall), which means that ultimately, the supplier reimburses Ford for some or all of the costs associated with the recall.
Sevensecondsuv
Perhaps I have a claim against Ford for all the steel I've had to replace on my 92 explorer due to rust. I've probably spent at least $90 on bolts and random steel patching things through the years. Time to start googling lawyers.... /sarcasm In all seriousness though, it's really about time somebody held the local and state governments accountable for the billions of dollars of damage done to cars and other steel structures due to dumping tons of highly corrosive chemicals on the roads. That's not to mention the environmental issues associated with it.
