Current Cruze will continue as "Cruze Limited" alongside new model for retail, fleet sales

It's a silly plan because the "Limited" models are only being kept for around 12 months or so which suggests

that this is simply GM trying to boost the new vehicles' Retail ATPs by keeping the superseeded ones for fleet.

There are better ways to achieve this than keeping an outdated model around, selecting the right product mix for one

and controlling production volume is another..... this is an area where GM keeps falling over when trying to copy Ford,

it's essential to limit production to actual market need, making money off dead end vehicles can be a waste of resources.

Especially when fleet customers may be prepared to pay more for newer more retail like models with better residual values.

I think Cruze Limited will be around for a lot longer than 12 months.

Impala Limited is going in on its 3rd model year.

Yet the GM faithful will tell you that Ford are the fleet queen, quote percentages and neatly

ignore the growing list of Limited vehicles kept purely for fleet sales.

If these "limited" vehicles don't open people's eyes, nothing will...
