blwnsmoke
2018* So there Hemingway v8 has less hp then the EcoBoost 3.5.. hmmm.. Wonder if it will have the same poor reliability as the dodge pursuit cars. Kudos on the trizone climate system but that's about it for me. jpd80
"Unofficial testing results at the Michigan State Police 2018 model-year vehicle evaluation event created such a stir among law enforcement agencies that we simply had to find a way to build this vehicle," said Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Car Brands, Dodge/SRT, FCA North America. Despite the apparent buzz around this police vehicle, Dodge has said the Durango Pursuit V-8 AWD will only be available "for a limited time." and with that, went all credibility, Dodge needs to be in it for the long haul as you can't "take it or leave it" with LE branches, they'll just stick with PIU. Ford has a bout 12 months to get CD6 PIU out there to PDs, RWD will do a lot to improve driving dynamics, the 3.5 EB and 10AT will slay the competition. tbone
I also assume the new PIU interior, with increased space, will continue to drive Fords leadership in the law enforcement arena. The current PIU offers decent space for officers with full kit, but there is still some room for improvement. Ill bet the next gen Explorers packaging will be more efficient for LE configuration.
